1. ‘Easier as Us’ Idea:
Beginning of sound track: tuning his guitar/ writing song lyrics
“Can’t get my mind away from the thoughts of you”
In his bedroom lip syncing
“Two weeks ago today you were just the girl I drew”
Would be set in a nice location, perhaps a park on a bench. At this point he would
be sitting with a notebook and a pencil in his hand (finishing a sketch of the girl)
The sketch becomes the girl in real life so the boy is no longer looking at a
drawing of the girl he is looking at an actual girl (point of view shot) The girl
would be seen laughing and being cute. Up to
“We would be fools not to follow where our heart suggests”
“So think it over and let me know girl” Her leaving the ‘date’ (park scene)
They would then go their separate ways, and then he turns off and sings the
chorus while he’s walking in the park.
“A couple, a pair, it’s apparent when we touch”
Flashes shown of them laughing and joking (and maybe talking)
Pictures of her, or him taking pictures of her
Polaroid pictures of them together on his desk, in his bedroom and the pictures
come to life (an example of this could be from ‘One Direction – Story Of My Life’)
“You and I would be easier as us”
Back to him lip syncing in his bedroom or maybe other locations such as a park,
restaurant etc.
“Can’t keep my hands away from holding yours” (Around a beach or a water
area) the friends are seen to be holding hands
“Your eyes like gravity keep pulling me close inside of your world”
They are amongst their group of friends hanging out and having a laugh, they
exchange glances and possibly through eye line matches we see them looking at
each other as they are ‘in love’
“Now I think it’s time, together we find our life of our own… our title indicates
we’re alone” still with the group of friends the boy holds onto the girls arm, but
another friend jokingly pushes him away, other friends tease him (various shots)
He falls but slightly from the groups and lip sings “you and I will be easier as us”
the a different camera shot of him singing “don’t need three words just one could
sum us up” he then runs back with the friends joking around.
“Straight to the point..” They will then go to the fourth location of a restaurant
on an official date.
“I knew you were right, right from the start” singing it to her across the table
Undecided end.

3. “Now it’s time, together we find a life of our own… but together is hard when our
title indicates we’re alone”
- Carry on with the group of friends laughing and joking around (different
shots)
- The girls have their arms linked, the boy comes in to join in and hold the
other arm but the others friends push him around in a jokey way and
come in between. The girls then walk off.
The boys come over punching him and joking around, taking the mick.
He then drops back, behind everyone where we see shots of him lip syncing “you
and I would be easier as us” probably from the front view
Side shot of him – “don’t need three words, just one could sum us up”
“A couple, a pair, it’s apparent when we touch”
He runs and catches up “you and I will be easier as us”
Different scenarios – “Easier as us” Him and her walking into a restaurant (Pull
her seat out etc.)
“Straight to the point, straight to the heart” – Eating, exchanging cute looks
“I knew you were right, right from the start”, maybe saying it across to her.
