Boza is one of the traditional drinks of Turks. The one who likes Boza knows Boza but the one who has never tasted it probably heard the sound of “bozaaaaaaaaaaa” from the streets. It is nearly impossible to find under twenty year old teenager that likes and drinks Boza. Most of them probably even did not try it. To reach under twenty year old teenagers, we wanted to use something that they are familiar with like “bozaaaaaaaa”. We wanted to make an amusing conception and distribute it in cyber area. We decided to make a microsite called bozaboza.com and we started to work.

  • 2. Bozaboza.com Boza is one of the traditional drinks of Turks. The one who likes Boza knows Boza but the one who has never tasted it probably heard the sound of “bozaaaaaaaaaaa” from the streets. It is nearly impossible to find under twenty year old teenager that likes and drinks Boza. Most of them probably even did not try it. To reach under twenty year old teenagers, we wanted to use something that they are familiar with like “bozaaaaaaaa”. We wanted to make an amusing conception and distribute it in cyber area. We decided to make a microsite called bozaboza.com and we started to work. Under twenty years old teenagers do not care about the benefits or the culture of Boza. It is not important for them to drink something traditional or healthy. To reach them, we decided to make the advertising of Boza amusing and competitive game that they can spread it on facebook and twitter. We made the construct of the game based on a conception that they know about Boza. We decided to use the sound of “bozaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” that teenager might be heard of it.
  • 3. Bozaboza.com In this competition, two competitors compete. The competitors connect to the site by their Facebook account. System chooses the competitors randomly. Before starting the game, competitors choose their own color. The system says whose turn is it. First competitor pushes the button and stars to shout “bozaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”When first competitor finishes, second competitor does the same. The competitor who shouts longer time becomes the winner. The color that competitors choose pushes the color of their rivals in same level of their shouting time. In the screen of the competitors, the winner is declared like this;” Ahmet Sena’yı fena bozarım dedi.Gücünü kanıtladı!”Under this letter, there is a button to listen how they shouted.”Birbirinizi nasıl bozaladığınızı dinle!”They can share it on Facebook and Twitter. When they share it, it is written “Ahmet Sena’yı fena bozarım dedi. Gücünü kanıtladı.Sen de avaz avaz bozala gücünü kanıtla!” on their pages. The facebook and twitter users that see this letter can go to the application by clinking it.
  • 4. Bozaboza.com By this way, we inject the image of Boza to our target with an amusing conception that they are familiar with. The young person that plays the game one time starts to realise Boza in supermarkets. He does not just go by near it like before. He starts to see Boza in the menu of the restaurants. Then he says “I should try it!” and his relationship with Boza starts  You can see our work in next slides.
