He became one of Londonsmostpopular playwrights in the early 1890s.Today he is remembered for his epigrams andplays, and the circumstances of hisimprisonment because of his romance with ayoung boy.

  • - Dorian Gray – Is a handsome young man who becomes friend of Lord Henry andthen gives his soul to the devil to be young forever.- Basil Hallward – A young artist and Dorian’s friend. He paints the portrait ofDorian.- Lord Henry "Harry" Wotton –Initially, he is a friend of Basil but later becomesmore interested in Dorian’s beauty. He always says that only matters pleasure.- Sibyl Vane – Is a beautiful young and talent actress but poor. She falls in lovewith Dorian.
  • Dorian Gray is a young man considered perfect. Dorian gives his soul to the devilto be young forever. Then, he begins to be a worse person. When he starts to dobad things, his actions appear in the picture as the years go by. While Dorian staysyoung forever, the picture looks older and uglier, showing his real soul. This picture is from the film Dorian Gray, 2009.
