Dignity in care in Zeeland

21. overall conclusions
“Promoting Dignity In Care” through a “sTimulation” method resulted in overall
satisfaction of participants
Differences in scores existed between students and caregivers and between
origin countries
Promoting “Dignity In Care” raised numerous issues that need to be deepened,
in particular with respect to the post-experience phases
Future evaluation/research should focus on how to make the best possible
transformation of the learning of the sTimul experience in practice.
22. overall conclusions 2
“Structured and comprehensive preparation is important
Remaining in profile impacts on the value of the experience
Reflection is the key-element; Students learn from professionals’ reflections
and vice versa
Different stages of reflection are crucial
Cross-border networking has enhanced dissemination
Dignity is about personal attention and relationships
“… I felt so isolated, all I wanted was to talk to someone.”

26. FUTURIZING
With ageing populations, and a shrinking work force, it's a challenge for
society to provide high quality care and optimal living conditions for older
people, at affordable cost.
****
There are also greater demands on health services to deal with chronic
health conditions through self-empowerment.
****
The Age of Wellness is truly upon us and people’s lifestyles are
changing faster than ever before using the benefits of
technology.
