 1981/1995: health programmes
   • Fighting tuberculosis National TB Center, test & treatment centers
   • HIV-AIDS prevention  Training health personnel, producing &
   • Health education       disseminating pedagogic material,
   • Blood transfusion      providing technical & pedagogic support

 1995/1998: building-up capacities within the CRC
   • One delegate to support the set-up of administrative &
     accounting procedures
 1997/2003: first aid & health promotion
                 •Phnom Penh SAMU with CRC (1997-2003)
                 • First aid training (from 1998):
                   40 trainers, 500 CRC first aid volunteers
                 •Siem Reap SAMU with the MOH (2001/2003)
                 • Health eduction / Red Cross Youth programme

                  in Kompong Cham province (2001/2003)

     people’s lives, health and dignity

    60 000 volunteers  1076 branches  679 institutions in

 Water, sanitation & food security in Oddar Meanchey
 (since 2001)




  • 3rd ECHO-funded programme in 2004, followed by a programme
    co-funded by the EU (2004-2007).
  • Improving water supply, sanitation conditions and hygiene practices
  • Increasing food security, diet diversity, and household revenues

                 HIV-AIDS programme (starting 2004)
                Improving health care for adults and children living
                with HIV/AIDS, including access to ART & community
                support. Projects in Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh
                         Co-funded by the GFATM for 2 to 5 years.

    Anlong Veng and Trapaing Prasaat

  • Providing home gardening activities for better food security & diet




  « ODM 4 » (2004/2007)
    • A 3-year programme funded by Europeaid in the same area
    • More focus on food security and the operation of water
      points (rehabilitation, water point committees, maintenance)
