  • 3. Jesse Owens died ofcancer on March 31, 1980. He was 72 years old.
  • 4. Jesse Owens is famous because he was a very fast runner. He broke many recordsand won four Olympic gold medals.
  • 5. One interesting fact about Jesse Owens isevery winter when Jesse was little, he got very sick, that they called it the devil’s cold.
  • 6. Another interesting fact about Jesse Owens is that heonly lost 4 out of 79races in high school.
