  5. 5. GROWTH…Nazareth College Opened in 1920 as the first four-year Catholic college for women in Kentucky Became Catherine Spalding College in 1961
  6. 6. MORE CHANGES AND GROWTH…Spalding College In 1969 Nazareth College at Nazareth inBardstown merged with Catherine SpaldingCollege in Louisville. In 1973 became coeducational in theCatholic tradition for students of all traditions.
