  4. 4.  Teacher:  Posts lecture on site  Publishes lecture to Web Server  Newsfeed file  XML file  RSS file  Catalog of all information published
  5. 5.  Student  Installs a “news reader” or “news aggregator”  One function: check web server and downloads an identified RSS newsfeed on a regular basis  Effectively and continually asks the server, “Is there new content?”  Similar to e-mail – “Is there new e-mail?”  Server reports new content – aggregator dutifully downloads it
