    • Some ideas on how to run Learning Networks - Based on lessons from the CSR Learning Network Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • Main Objectives in CSR for the Year: • To survey youth opinion on sustainability and CSR; • To increase awareness of CSR and Sustainability within AIESEC globally; • To provide in-depth learning for those with a deeper interest in sustainability and its relationship with core business practices; • To provide a network for interaction between individuals and organisations interested in sustainability. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • Planned Actions for the Year: • Online Awareness Campaigns and Surveys • CSR and Sustainability Learning Networks and Summer Schools • Traineeship exchanges focused on CSR and Sustainability • Global Award for the best CSR Project of the Year. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • How do these actions link into a Learning Network? Survey and Online Poll Physical Education Promotion of Learning Network. Online Education Issue-Based (or related) Exchange Promotion of each Component. Social Network sharing opportunities and other things. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • What are the stages of participation in a LN? • People hear of the Learning Network or about the issue Come and See Stage 1: and get curious. • They go through the Introductory Session. • With more knowledge, the learners read more Stage 2: Read and Discuss materials or listen to speakers, ask questions and share opinions. • Participants start reading more on their own, researching into areas they want to learn more Research and Stage 3 and can start bringing content more to the Contribute discussions. • Participants are now confident enough to take up Develop, Lead and traineeship opportunities and jobs in CSR. Stage 4 Act • They can now start “cells” of learning and/or action on the issue through AIESEC or outside AIESEC. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • This Component: What and Why? • Starts the hype for the Learning Survey and Network (easy to fill and gives the feeling Online of timeline and so some urgency); Poll • Is a good way to get a feel of number of people who may be interested in the issue; • Could give an idea of what ideas are present (or not) in the organisation around the issue (an opportunity to gather expectations for the LN); • Is a very good way to get all the email addresses of potential members of a Learning Network. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • This Component: What and Why? • Continues the hype for the Learning Network (just hearing so much about it may make people interested – or pissed); • Explains to all interested Promotion of in the LN what the entire Learning LN “curriculum”will be; Network • Is an opportunity to explain to participants who is responsible for what and who to ask for whatever support they may need; • Keeps IS guys busy – very busy. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • This Component: What and Why? • This could be through e-Library which is a document that lists as much of the online resources available as possible under different headings; • E-Learning must also include the needs of basic level learners (ppt. introduction to the issue • AIESEC does not have to or I2-like Q&A exercises create an advanced e- can give basic learning Module. Some education; organisations may have it Online already – we just try to Education partner with them and send our learners there; • Online Case Studies, e-Dialogues or e- conferences are a great way to engage members with externals and increases our relevance (and marketability) around the issue. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • This Component: What and Why? • These are conferences, meetings, symposia etc; • External Days at every national, regional and international conference can be turned into Learning Network Meetings/Symposia – like the CSR Symposium at IC or AIDS Forum at AFEXPRO Physical (participants at online dialogues can meet in Education person here without extra costs or distraction from CW); • Output of online dialogues should be collected in a conscious manner and used as input to physical meetings; • Discussions of physical exchange opportunities can start at these networks (partners should be made to expect/hope to meet delegates to talk about recruitment). Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • This Component: What and Why? • A clear Job Description should be developed for traineeships based on specific issues; • If TN’s based on issues are not available, learners should be willing to search for TN’s related to the issue or else look for other opportunities while on traineeship to keep learning in the area (maybe through being volunteers after work hours…in this case, the consideration for accepting a TN may be a country where much can be learnt on the issue, e.g. eco- villages in Costa Rica, even if the TN is in a bank); Issue-Based (or • Qualifications and experiences related) required for traineeships based on or Exchange related to issues should be promoted through LN so that participants start early to build this; Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
    • This Component: What and Why? • Each component of the LN is another opportunity to make some noise and create some more hype through promotion. We can make banners and promote Online Dialogues, Physical Workshops, Polls and Surveys etc; • Participants should create an atmosphere of friendship and interaction in the LN’s so that they can share job and learning opportunities with one another. The network should continue even after the AIESEC experience. Access to these LN’s on AIESEC.net should be assured after AIESEC; Promotion of each Component. Social Network sharing opportunities and other things. Awareness Learning NetworkingLearning Network: (About Issue/Characteristic) (Through action and interaction) (Virtual and Physical)
