As simple as it gets… Slide 7 First call connect function of RTMP Stream to connect with the server. Call Either play or publish to start RTMP Stream OnDataReceived() function will give raw data provided by audio server that you may play or save in the file. getWriteData() function will be called by library to get the raw data to send to the server while publishing the file. onStatus() function will be called by the library to provide all the messages received from server.

We have developed a sample media player showing capabilities of Aftek Android RTMP library.
The media player is completely integrated with Adobe FMS and provides features like Connect to server, view list of available media files, Play and Pausing of streams.
It also provides a facility to record a live stream and publish it to the server for future playing.
The media player developed using Aftek RTMP library could easily extended to a Media On Demand applications integrated with proprietary /third party DRM.
Using Aftek Android RTMP library one can also develop collaboration solutions, voice/video chatting applications, and Set top box interactive applications.

What Next… Slide 11
The framework would become extremely powerful once
Android media player supports interfaces for external video streams. Android developers suggests that this is something they are working on high priority and would be released soon.
Probable Next Steps
To support video and all types of audio codec, we would evaluate SDL video library and FFMPEG.
