Rogers (Rojazz) Adholla
Rojazz (Rogers) is a young man with an amazing talent. He was born in Kampala in Uganda and graduated in Fine Art from the Margaret Trowell School of Art, Makerele University in Kampala, Uganda.
Rojazz works with oils as well as inks with which he produces an amazing range of graphic art.
In the relatively short time his work has now been exhibited in Uganda/Tanzania/South Africa/Germany/Denmark/United Kingdom. His most recent exhibition was at the University of Copenhagen in May 2009
Rojazz was in Sheffield in October 2004 to give a series of Fine Art and Printing workshop sessions for over 120 children from two local schools
Rojazz now lives in Copenhagen where he is studying for a postgraduate degree.

Tola Wewe was born at Okitipupa Ondo State, Nigeria in 1959. He graduated from University Of Ife in 1983 with a specialized degree in painting and in 1986 he finished a master’s degree course in Visual Arts at the University of Ibadan. His style draws from the Ona symbols of the Yoruba and his themes project traditional lores and myths of his native Yoruba. Wewe’s works are widely acclaimed for their originality, simplicity, surface texture and attractive colours.
He is a full time artist based in Lagos where he has held several exhibitions.
Described as one of the most talented minds from the African continent, Tola Wewe’s works are widely acclaimed for their originality, simplicity, surface texture and mastery of colours. After graduating from the Universities of Ife and Ibadan, he became a founding member of the Ona movement. His style draws from the Ona symbols of the Yoruba culture and his themes project traditional lores and myths of his native culture .
Tola Wewe’s first solo exhibition was in 1990 at The National Museum, Lagos and he has had a solo exhibition in Lagos every year for the past ten years. Although the majority of his pieces are sold in Nigeria he has exhibited internationally including in Holland, London, UK and Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. Beyond Nigeria, Tola Wewe's works has been exhibited across the world including Die kraft der Farte held in Germany in 2002; was Creative Resident at PlatteForum July 5-23, 2004; Coningsby Gallery, London, Espace Alberica Gallery, Paris to mention a few.
He has received numerous awards including winning the Guiness Nig. Plc national art competition held in 2004. This led to an exhibition at the at The Coningsby Gallery in London from September to October 2004 - called Recent Pictures.
Tola Wewe emerged as one of the winners of art competition and exhibition, UNBREAKABLE NIGERIAN Spirit held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, in March 2008

Zacharia Mbutha started his formal education late because of his father's antagonistic view of the colonial schooling system.
As a teenager in 1968 Mbutha won an award in an all African art competition and although he trained and worked as a teacher for many years, his interest in the arts never waned. In 1979 he resigned his post as r as a primary school headmaster at Nakuru, Kenya, and became a fulltime artist. Mbutha has never received any formal art education. His work is the product of his experimentation and the occasional library book on modern art that he has read. From this small study of the modern masters, he has invented his own unusual style.
From Van Gogh he learned bold colours and the impact of vital, dabbed pain marks. The work of Picasso of the 1920s inspires his powerful, imposing monumental figures Mbutha is known as a social commentator, whose works reflect the issues of traditional African life versus the modern one. Of late, Mbutha has been painting of wider issues of love, conservation, hunger, and poverty. He is an artist of rare dedication and is by far his own strongest critic, working and reworking his paintings until he is satisfied.
Mbutha's paintings have extraordinary life and capture both the reality of his chosen subjects, and the freshness of a creative spirit at work. Hi style of applying paint in small dabs creates a rich tapestry of colour
