The Blue House Frida Kahlo in Coyoacan, Mexico City, where he lived and worked, was donated by Diego Rivera after his death in 1957 and is now a museum which houses objects of his life. His former home is a popular destination for tourists

2007 marks 100 years of Frida's birth, so in his native country and in the world, samples were prepared, events and tributes to celebrate this great occasion. As an example, a French airline flights to Mexico exhibited films Frida and the menu offered to its clients have names alluding to the painter.
