Past Scenario / Overview GOLF GENIE™ – Golf Genie™ is an Atlanta based golf pocket guide provider that provides easy-to-absorb golf instruction, tips, practice drills and routines to accelerate development and rapidly lower golf score for novice and veteran golfers. The company experienced a poor online presence that was damaging the brand GOLF GENIE™ The company experienced a dull look and feel of the website that resulted in lacked appeal from golfers and golf beginners.
  • 3. Background of Golfhelptips.com GolfHelpTips.com was a 9 months old online store for Golf Pocket Guide book (GOLF GENIE™). The website was built on the CMS – Volusion. There were very few pages on the website. The website was neither search engines friendly nor optimized.
  • 4. Objectives of Golfhelptips.com The primary objective of Golfhelptips.com was to reach out to the right audience through search engines with minimum budget. Options that GOLF GENIE™ chose  Search Engine Optimization  Paid Advertising on Search Engines. GOLF GENIE™ chose search engine optimization rather than paid to get better results with limited budget. They wanted to  Get more traffic from search engines  Create more brand awareness  Longer lasting rank and traffic

Challenges Average understanding of the CMS in  Same Title and <Meta> tags were used which site was developed. on all web pages. Minimal technical support from the  Number of issues with the indexed client end. pages that hindered effective search Domain issues, since Golfhelptips.com engine crawling . The issues were like: was running on three different domains.  Page duplicity Issues in placing the assigned  No interlinking on the web pages keywords, since the site structure, URL  Very low Link popularity naming , navigation were very poor.  No use of ALT and Heading tags Issues in fixing keyword prominence,  Unwanted codes on web pages keyword density and other on page  Deep link ratio was zero factors; since only images were used to describe each and every aspect of the product.

Strategy & Initiatives To resolve issues faced by Golfhelptips.com, Omnie took the below initiatives:  Deep understanding of the Content Management System  Directly worked with the hosting provider, in order to get the domain and mirror site issues resolved  Restructured the entire website to make it user and search engine friendly  Fixed the content duplicity issues  Worked with copy writing team, to get the content requirement fulfilled  Used best strategy (On-Page and Off-Page) for increasing page relevancy and link popularity
  • 7. Results An appealing , users and search engines friendly website was designed. The visibility of GOLF GENIE™ was achieved in a short span of time. Website traffic increased . Sales of GOLF GENIE™ pocket guide and mobile apps increases
