  • 2. Moscow is the capital of Russia, the city with the largest population of all Russian cities.
  • 3. Moscow was founded in 1147 by Yuri Dolgoruky.
  • 4. Moscow is situated in the center of the European part of Russia, to Entre Rios of Oka and Volga Entre Rios – междуречье
  • 5. Despite huge extent of building of Moscow, the area of the planted trees of the city makes 34,3 thousand hectares Despite – несмотря Extent - степень
  • 6. Moscow is the large cultural and tourist center of Europe and the world. Modern Moscow totals more than 100 theaters. In the city there are more than 60 museums.
  • 7. Moscow is the important tourist center attracting guests with remained monuments of the Russian architecture (a row from which is included in the list of the World heritage of UNESCO)
  • 8. The historical center of Moscow is the Moscow Kremlin. The present type of a wall and tower of fortress got in the XVII century.
  • 9. Nowadays the Kremlin serves as the residence of the president of Russia.
