This module introduces you to the equipment cabinets and battery enclosures for Notifier Fire Alarm Systems.
All cabinets for NOTIFIER fire alarm control panels are fabricated from 16-gauge steel. The cabinet assembly consists of two basic parts: a backbox and a locking door. Cabinets are available in either black or red, with or without windows.

The family of enclosures currently available for ONYX Fire Alarm Systems is refered to as the CAB-4 Series. An enclosure, or cabinet, is made up of a backbox and door.
Backboxes feature a one to four rows available for the mounting of CPU´s, chassis, amplifiers, DVC, LCMs, LEMs, etc.
The bottom box of each backbox is tipically used to house a main power supply (if needed) and the batteries necesary to provide a secondary source of power – AC.

CAB-4 Series Backboxes
The backbox has been engineered to provide ease-of-entry for the installer. Knockouts are positioned at numerous points to aid the installer in bringing a conduit into the enclosure with a minimum of hardship.

CAB-4 Series Doors
CAB-4 Series doors features a key—lock and right or left-hand hinges, selectable in the field. The doors use the following nomenclatures:

EQ Series cabinets provide an effective solution for applications that require distributed components such as power supplies, amplifiers, and multiple I/O modules.
The EQ Series provides superior ventilation for devices such as amplifiers and field power supplies, ample room for wire or fiber-optic media between each row, and a space efficient package that allows for the consolidation of multiple system components in a single enclosure.
Equipment cabinets use a perforated blank door for enhanced ventilation, and do not support the mounting of backbox mounted dress plates. Therefore these cabinets are not appropriate for equipment that would be normally accessed by a system operator such as control equipment annunciators, or remote microphones.
EQ cabinets share the same external dimensions as the familiar CAB 4 Series cabinets. EQ Series cabinets differ in that they do not include a separate battery row.

Cabinets are arranged in 3 standard sizes, B (two tiers) through D (four tiers). An optional trim ring is available for each of the three sizes.

BB-25 Battery Backbox
The BB-25 Cabinet is designed to house either two PS-12250 (25 AH) batteries or the CHS-6 Chassis. The cabinet is hinged at the bottom, and is shipped assembled.
The BB-25 Cabinet comes with a false bottom plate. Place this plate in the bottom of the cabinet for battery support.
The CHS-6 Chassis, which can also be installed in a CAB-4 Series enclosure, is used to mount multi-circuit addressable module cards (XP6 Series).

The BB-55 Battery Cabinet can be used to hold a CHG-75 or CHG-120 Battery charger and batteries of the following sizes:
Two PS-12250 (25 AH)
Two PS-12550 (55 AH)
One PS-121000 (100 AH)
The cabinet consists of a backbox and an integral lockable door that swings down for access.
The BB-55 must be installed within 20 feet of the control panel with all wiring in conduit.
NFS-LBB Large Battery Box – Same as BB-55 but painted back.
The BB-100 Cabinet is lockable, hinged on the left, and shipped assembled. It can mount a battery charger/power supply and up to two PS-12100 100-AH.
The BB-100 must be installed within 20 feet of the control panel with all wiring in conduit.
The BB-200 Cabinet is lockable, hinged on the left, and shipped assembled. It can mount a battery charger/power supply and up to four PS-12100 100 AH batteries.
The BB-200 must be installed within 20 feet of the control panel with all wiring in conduit.
The NFS2-3030 is composed of the following accessories:
CHS-M3: Chassis for CPU, it can be replaced by a CA-2 .
DP-DISP: Deck for CPU, it can be replaced by a DPA-2 .
BMP-1 : Blank (1/4 of line).
CHS-4(L): Chassis to mount several cards (LCMs and LEMs).
