    4. AET60 BioCARDKey Belongs to the Smart Card-Fingerprint Readers Family – a line featuring smart card-based fingerprint readers that can easily be integrated into a simple yet secure biometric system. 4
    5. AET60 BioCARDKey • Combines the highly successful silicon fingerprint sensor & a smart card reader for ultra-secure authentication ACR38 PC-Linked Reader Fingerprint Sensor • Provides 3-way authentication, verifying something “you have” (smart card), something “you know” (PIN/password) & something “you are” (fingerprint) for high-level security Example: Secure physical or logical (computer/network) access in restricted areas/networks 5

    7. UPEK TCS1 Sensor User Controllable Peripherals The 1st FIPS 201-certified FP Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP & sensor speaks of reliability Vista Encrypted FP Template Certifications/Compliance Stored in SC for maximum security ISO 7816-1/2/3, PC/SC, BioAPI 1.1, CE, FCC & RoHS Match-On PC Authentication For customers who seek security Ease of Application at a lower price Development • Compliant with BioAPI Supported Card Types Specification All MCU cards with T=0, T=1 • ACS provides simple API protocols • Separate or independent usage of SC reader & FP scanner possible 7
    8. UPEK TCS1 Sensor • Large active sensor size (12.8 mm x 18.0 mm) • High-resolution 508 DPI imaging • Patented TouchChip active capacitive sensing technology ensures highest image quality 8
    9. Match-On PC Authentication • Fingerprint template extraction & matching happen in the PC • Fingerprint template extraction & matching can also be performed by server 9
    10. Ease of Application Development • BioAPI Specification – Provides interoperability between different software applications and biometric technologies developed by different vendors • Designers can do away with the complicated BioAPI specification by using ACS’s simple API • Applications can be programmed to accept either 1 of the 2 inputs from AET60 BioCARDKey: smart card or fingerprint 10

    12. More Secure than SC-Alone or FP- More Efficient & Cost-Effective than Alone Readers Conventional FP Scanners Provides 3-factor authentication – • By storing FP templates in SCs, verifying something “you have” (SC), matching just involves checking live something “you know” (PIN/password) FP against stored template, & something “you are” (FP) eliminating the need for a complex back-end system • Users carry FP templates with them & FP verification authenticates only SC owner, erasing privacy & security concerns posed by lost or stolen cards & dummy FPs 12
    13. Simple API Simple FP System For straightforward application development • Only AET60 BioCARDKey, a PC & contact smart cards, like ACOS cards, needed • External hardware & software not required • Super-server, mega-database & complicated software not needed • Readily deployable in both new & existing, large & small, online & offline projects • Undemanding system administration & maintenance 13
