  • 1. Description Soon you are going to choose one of the pictures of people I show you and write down 5 descriptive words or phrases about them. Here’s an example first…
  • 2. How would you describe this person?

  • 4. Your turn… pens and paper at the ready! Choose one of these people and write down 5 descriptive words or phrases. Gavin Henson Angelina Jolie Tom Jones
  • 5. What can you see? What might you hear? What would you smell? How would you feel?
  • 6. Pair / group work <ul><li>I will give each group a scenario, e.g. a school </li></ul><ul><li>playground in autumn. </li></ul><ul><li>You will have 5 minutes to come up with as many descriptive words / phrases covering all the senses as you can without giving away any key words . </li></ul><ul><li>After 5 minutes, your descriptions will be swapped with another group. </li></ul><ul><li>Each person will write a paragraph using at least 3 of the descriptions, trying to elaborate on the scenario you think is being described. </li></ul><ul><li>Would you be able to guess the place and time of year from the following descriptions…? </li></ul>
