    • Administered by USAC under the direction of the FCC.
    • Discounts assist most schools and libraries to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access.
    • Supports connectivity.
  • 3. Funding Overview
    • Requested under: telecommunications services, Internet access, internal connections, and basic maintenance of internal connections.
    • Funded through a Universal Service fee charged to companies that provide interstate and/or international telecommunications services.
  • 4. Library Eligibility
    • Must be eligible for assistance from a state library administrative agency.
    • Must have budgets completely separate from any schools.
    • Cannot operate as for-profit businesses.
