2. FIRST CONDITIONAL
Grammar Structure
We often make conditional sentences by using:
If clause: If + subject + present simple
Main clause: will ( ’ll ) / won’t / might or might not
4. UNLESS
We can also use the word unless in conditional
sentences – it means if…not.
Example
Unless the teacher explains, we wont know what to do.
Explanation
If the teacher doesn’t explain, we wont know what to
do.
6. FIRST CONDITIONAL:TWO CLAUSES
There are two clauses in these sentences.
We can put the main clause first, or the if/unless clause
first.
When the if/unless clause comes first, there is a
comma ( , ) after it.
Example:
If She does all her homework , she’ll go out tonight.
I’ll be happy tomorrow if I win the match.
