  2. 2. Report about sport <ul><li>Gracias a los nuevos planteamientos de la P.E. nuestro deporte ha conseguido lo smejores resultados de toda su historia. Todo comienza en la enseñanza primaria, poco a poco y siguiendo la misma líea de trabajo, nuestros jóvenes están consiguendo las mejores marcas. Para las olimpiadas de 1992, se establecieron una becas, llamadas ADO, que ayudan a a ciertas especialidades deportivas a compaginar sus estudios con la práctica del deporte de forma profesional. </li></ul>

THIRD CYCLE OF PRIMARY (10-12 years) Objectives of this stage <ul><li>Understand and value one’s body. </li></ul><ul><li>Appreciate the importance of physical activities for one’s well being. </li></ul><ul><li>Use one’s own physical abilities. </li></ul><ul><li>Acquire, choose, and apply principles and rules in order to solve problems with motor skills. </li></ul><ul><li>Regulate and measure out effort. </li></ul><ul><li>Use the expressive resources of the body and movement. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in physical activities sharing projects and establishing cooperative relationships to reach common goals, by means of dialogue, while avoiding discrimination for personal, social, cultural and gender characteristics. </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding and valuing diversity in physical and sports activities. </li></ul>

THIRD CYCLE OF PRIMARY (10-12 years) Contents <ul><li>The body: Image and perception </li></ul><ul><li>Consciousness and control of the body in rest and in movement. </li></ul><ul><li>Execution of difficult movements with non-dominant parts of the body. </li></ul><ul><li>Static and dynamic equilibrium in complex positions. </li></ul><ul><li>Spatial-temporal structure in complex motor actions and positions. </li></ul><ul><li>Assessment and acceptance of the reality of one’s own body and that of others, showing a critical attitude towards the socially valid aesthetic-corporal model. </li></ul>

Artistic-expressive physical activities </li></ul><ul><li>The body and movement: Exploration and consciousness of the possibilities and resources of the body language. </li></ul><ul><li>Composition of movements from rhythmic and musical stimulus. Production of dances and simple choreographies. </li></ul><ul><li>Expression and communication of individual and shared feelings and emotions from the body, gestures, and movement. </li></ul>

THIRD CYCLE OF PRIMARY (ELEMENTARY) (10-12 years) Criterion of Evaluation <ul><li>Adapt the movements and jumps to different types of settings </li></ul><ul><li>Throw, pass, and catch balls and other mobile objects, without losing control of them in motor games and activities where they are necessary. </li></ul><ul><li>Act in a coordinated and cooperative manner in order to meet challenges or to oppose one or more opponents in a collective game, as an attacker or a defender. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify fundamental values of the games and the practice of sports activities, personal efforts, and relationships established in a group, and act according to them. </li></ul><ul><li>Coherently and critically form opinions on the conflictive situations that arise during physical activities and sports. </li></ul><ul><li>Actively demonstrate behavior aimed at increasing the global physical condition. </li></ul><ul><li>Construct group compositions using the expressive resources of the body and using musical, verbal, and artistic stimulus. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify some of the relationships that are established between the correct and habitual practice of physical exercise and improving health. </li></ul>
