Laszlo gulyas (1960) hungarian painter (a c )

  1. 1. 07.04.13 02:41 AM
  2. 2. Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1960, Laszlo Gulyas graduatedat the Academy of Fine and Applied Arts. Laszlo continued hisstudies as a student of the Academy of Fine Arts between 1983and 1987. He has been member of the National Society ofHungarian Artists since 1987. The artist developed hisindividual world of images and acquired the paintingtechniques of the early masters of painting under theinfluence of the universal art of Rembrandt. This is whatmakes him distinct form his contemporaries. He seems to becharmed by the revival of heritage rather than by demolishingthe art of painting or by recording its death struggle. In hisworks he applies the contrastive effects of the light and theshade with brilliant skills. Besides the clear colours hissketching appears to be remarkable. The principal values ofhis gift are exhibited in his portrays of his family, which arefull of vitality and harmony.
