  • 2. Montreal artist Andris Leimanis’s exhibition “Between Water and Sky” amazes everybody with incredible landscapes. These intense coloured scenes inpire a sense of joy and harmony. While these works hope to “reflect” the transcendence apparent in winding waters, they also hint at the possiblities, perhaps even the mysteries, just around the bend. Most importantly Leimanis’ artistry reveals the spiritual unity of humanity with life forces in subtle nuances and luminosity. YEAR AND PLACE OF BIRTH : 1938, city of Riga, country of Latvia. TRAINING: He holds an arts degree frome the Loyola College, Montreal (1974), and a master in arts from the Syracuse University, state of New York (1976). MEDIUM: Oil on canvas

Luklacs (Montreal 1977 and 1979), Kar Gallery (Toronto 1980), Bernard Desroches Gallery (Montreal 1982, 1984, 1986 et 1988), Kaspar Gallery (Toronto 1984), etc. He also took part in the following group exhibitions: Salon national des Galeries d’Art de Montréal (1983 and 1984).
