  • 1. When making my When I was making my poster I had to be very specific towards how the imageposter I had to would appear to achieve a impact toward my audience. For example if you look toconsider how it the image on my poster you can see I have taken a image most relevant to mywould be successfully trailer of the main character the villain. I used the villain in my trailer to be the mainappealing toward my image on my poster due to the fact it gives my audience a look in on one of thetarget audience. characters that would be appearing in the movie, but it also allows my audience toWhen understanding get the fear factor from the image and to draw them in making them want to seethe theme of thriller I more about this specific character. I also used the villain on the poster cover due toimmediately knew the fact this is the most scary and thrilling character in the trailer and by using thisthe use of sharp image I am straight away portraying the theme of thriller in my poster.edges and dark tonesin my poster wouldmake my poster In my poster I had to useappear to be a form dark toning to allow theof horror related appearance of dark ,movie poster. scary and dangerous to be apparent. TheWhen taking my image background of my posterfor my poster I had to is black de to the factthink what was going black is very closelyto be most impacting related to horror andfor example I had to nightmares, but whenmake the contrast you look at my postereven to allow the you can see that it is veryimage to be clear but effective because of howstill appear dark and it makes the image in thehaunting. When I took poster seem almost likemy image I took it in a the villain is amercingdark area so that when from the darkness, itI edited it , it would be gives off the idea that thea lot similar to villain is coming out ofcombine it with a dark the poster, or arriving inbackground. I made cinemas soon. The blacksome areas on the background reallyimage darker to make enhances the impact theit more contrasting and image gives, this isto give off a scary because it helps theappearance. contrast in the image making the face appearWhen thinking of the theme thriller I had to be considerate of all elements such as stronger then the rest oflighting, appearance and use of text and colour. For example when you look at the text the poster, this is toon my poster I have specifically used sharp edged and red text. This is due to the fact Red allow the poster not tois very closely resembled to blood and hate, this is important in my choice of colour be too cluttered andbecause my audience will resemble this colour to horror and will understand that the confusing. The blacktrailer is aimed toward an audience with interests in thriller, horror and gore related background allows themovies. I chose a very sharp text because it could work as a phallic symbol toward the red of the text to betrailer, symbolising pain and sharp objects like knifes, things generally used in horror brought forward and torelated subjects. When you look closely to the some of the text on my poster you can see come out to thethat I have edited it on photoshop to make it appear as if it has a sheen on the edges, this audience, it is very eyeagain is to enhance the appearance of sharp, cutting, knife like text. I added a release catching and can draw indate on my poster due to the fact that follows the conventions of a typical horror poster, a audience.I had to make sure that it was similar to the rest of the text on the poster so that it madesense.
