About the Institute Institute of Mathematics and Informatics <ul><li>IMI established in 1956 (in the frame of the Lithuanian Academy of Science) </li></ul><ul><li>1990 – 2009 an independent state research institute, since 2010 – in the frame of the Vilnius University </li></ul><ul><li>IMI has 1 0 departments, 2 chairs for doctoral studies </li></ul><ul><li>Scientific staff of 121 persons, including 29 habil. doctors, 48 PhD, and 60 doctoral students </li></ul><ul><li>The UNESCO Chair Informatics for the Humanities and Multimedia Centre for the Humanities organizes periodically the intensive courses in modern information technologies for adult learners . </li></ul>
