1. Sales Consultant – Advertising
The Role
This is a sales-based role and the remuneration is 100% commission for the initial 3 months. All
being well and if you enjoy the challenge, Adgreement will offer a retainer and bonuses to those
who demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service and a passion to succeed. The
retainer will be re-assessed for potential increases at the completion of your first 6 months and again
after 12 months.
Your work will be done locally and face-to-face, with travel in your local area and surrounding
townships. To this extent, you should be confident meeting with people, maintain impeccable
grooming and demonstrate excellent presentation skills. If you have existing business or community
networks, they may serve you well! Do well enough and you'll be running your own sales team for
Adgreement after 12 months.
The Business
Adgreement is in the advertising industry and our customers are worldwide. They comprise of
businesses - both big and small, Governments, community and sporting groups and even
individuals. You will be selling to both the advertiser and also the end user. This means that as you
increase your awareness of your sales region you will be better placed to serve your customers.
There are a number of target markets we work with and whilst your experience, knowledge and
skill-sets may lend themselves better to one or two segments, we encourage you to actively engage
all target markets to increase your interest and participation in what you are selling.
Are you the one?
At Adgreement we are looking for people with varied backgrounds. You might be an experienced
and qualified sales consultant or marketer, but then again you might never have tried sales in your
life. What we are more interested in is your life experiences and whether you have the right mental
attitude. Our business is about building brands and helping people connect, so having a solutions-
based focus is important. You will be selling through multiple channels, so networking is mission-
critical.
Some valuable traits (not compulsory!):
prior experience or knowledge in sales and business management;
willingness to learn, try something new and think outside the square;
independent, self-motivated, lateral thinker with great time management skills;
enjoy meeting people and fostering new relationships;
existing business, community and or sporting networks; and
excellent ability and skills using the internet to conduct research and find things!
2. Most importantly, you are a go-getter. You are determined, reliable and show willingness to help
your customers on an ongoing basis. If you are a 'mind over matter' person, we'd love to hear from
you!
