2. Windows Phone Statistics Report
Welcome to the newest issue of AdDuplex’ Windows Phone Statistics report. We are trying a new
format this month. Please let us know what you think about it at info@adduplex.com
As for Windows Phone ecosystem in general, we don’t see any spectacular results this month, but
having said that, we notice Lumia 630 entering the top-10 in many markets and a bunch of new
devices right on the horizon.
Continue on for the details…

3. Data Source
This report is based on data collected from 4451 Windows Phone apps
running AdDuplex SDK v.2. The raw data analyzed was collected over the
day of July 24th, 2014 (UTC time) unless otherwise stated.
We have made every attempt to consolidate different reported phone model
names under their canonical retail model names, but it is possible that some
of the rare model name variations were not accounted for.
AdDuplex is the largest cross-promotion network for Windows Phone and
Windows 8 apps empowering developers and publishers to promote their
apps for free by helping each other. AdDuplex was established in January
2011 in Vilnius, Lithuania. As of July 2014, more than 8,500 apps actively
use AdDuplex to gain more visibility.
4. Windows Phone Devices Worldwide
July 24th, 2014
Again, no dramatic changes in
the Worldwide TOP-10 this
month. However, it is worth
mentioning that all three leaders
are loosing a bit of their share of
the market.
A slight anomaly (can’t find a
different explanation) resulted in
Lumia 710 moving up this
month. Lumia 820 was pushed
down to the last position from
8th.
As for the latest releases, Lumia
630 moved up #20 to #13, L635
is at #27 and Lumia 930 can be
found at #31 in July.

5. OS Version - Worldwide
July 24th, 2014
As for OS versions, WP 8.0
got momentum in losing it’s
share (dropped by 4.9%) of
the market, while WP 8.1 is
gaining it (gathered 4.2%).
While Windows Phone 7.x
has increased its
percentage by 0.7, it could
be attributed to the same

month’s data.

7. Windows Phone Devices - US
July 24th, 2014
None of devices from last
month’s US Windows
Phone Devices chart
changed their positions
except one. Lumia 900 had
to leave the TOP-10
because Lumia 630 made
its way through and has
2.1% of the market in July.
A good sign for a brand new
model.

8. US Windows Phone 8.x Operators
July 24th, 2014
Cricket entered the US
carrier chart with quite a
splash and is mostly
responsible for Lumia 630
entering the top 10 in the
country.
It’s good to see not only the
expanded list of OEMs, but
more operators offering
Windows Phone devices to
their customers too.

Germany just last month,
we couldn’t miss the

Lumia 630 entering the

last time we covered stats
of WP devices in Argentina.

devices made it through to
TOP-10 here (Lumia 925,
Lumia 1020 and Lumia
720), the chart looks totally
different since August,
2013. All devices swapped
between each other.

here with 33.9%.

out of TOP-10 chart in India:
Lumia 820 and Lumia 920.

gained 3.7% of the market

14. Windows Phone Devices - Poland
July 24th, 2014
Not counting the decrease
of Lumia 520 market share,
we see quite a few more
movements in WP market in
Poland.
HTC 8S stepped aside from
#3 position to #6 and Lumia
800 moved up from #5 to #3
and now has 9.6% of the
market.
And time came for Lumia
720 to leave the TOP-10.
Therefore Lumia 925 moved
in and is in the 9th position
with 3.3%.

16. New unreleased devices
We’ve continued seeing all the devices from the new OEMs and Nokia we’ve covered last month.
There are 2 devices from the companies we already know that we are happy to see back in the
Windows Phone fold:
1. LG D635 – we’ve been fans of LG’s Optimus 7 back in the Windows Phone 7 days and are happy
to see them return. This looks like a mid-range phone with 720p, 5” screen. Seems like a good
start.
2. HTC HTC6995LVW is likely that rumored HTC One (M8) variant with Windows Phone 8.1 on-
board. As its Android sibling it is a high end phone with a 1080p 5” screen. Unfortunately this is
a Verizon exclusive model number and we haven’t seen a global variant of it just yet. Looks like
there could be a gap before we see this beauty internationally (if at all).
As for NOKIA/Microsoft they have something up their sleeve too:
• NOKIA RM-1038/RM-1039 is a 720p 4.7” phone (Lumia 730?) which we have seen in quite a few
places around the globe, including AT&T in the US.
