  • 2. Once upon a time, in a land far awayon another continent a group ofnomadic people lived
  • 3. They kept to themselves and didn’tbother anybody, until one day thatchanged.
  • 4. They stretched for world domination.
  • 5. Everyone wanted to knowtheir secret to success, sofor one night only, GenghisKhan answered anyquestions outsiders had.
  • 6. Genghis Khan made surehis soldiers were skilled isall areas of battle such as:HorsemanshipArcheryFormationRotation
  • 7. Loyalty was an importantcharacteristic to have inthe Mongolian army.Perfection was also anessential quality, no slipups were allowed!
  • 8. The Mongols had uniqueweapons. They had siegemachines that woulddestroy city walls anddouble curved bows.
  • 9. They often used Kharashwhich were prisoners usedas human shields.
  • 10. The Mongols had veryinteresting war tactics.
  • 11. There were soldiers in thearmy who were calledLancers. Their duty was tomake sure the enemy wasdead after the archers shotthem with a bow andarrow. They were kind oflike the clean up crew.
  • 12. As you can see, GenghisKahn was a great warriorand leader.
  • 13. Speed is an importantadvantage in battle. TheMongols carried as littleequipment as possible.This helped them outrunthe opposing side.
  • 14. Even though he was harshand not a very nice person,his tactics were successful.
  • 15. The Mongols empireextended to Russia, China,and the Middle East.
