  • Thank you for allowing us to come in today to speak with you about Trees Atlanta. We are the non-profit group in Atlanta dedicated to improving and protecting Atlanta’s tree canopy through planting, conserving and educating.
  • Lately, if you have heard about Trees Atlanta in the news, it is likely for our sheep. As part of our forest restoration program, we have hired a herd of 100 sheep and goats to eat kudzu and ivy at parks across Atlanta. We have employed the herd to demonstrate an environmentally friendly way to get rid of invasive plants. These plants are one of the biggest threats to our forests as they kill the trees. After we remove the invasive plants, often we will come back in to plant native trees and plants which will help restore the site.
  • This is another opportunity for your company to help out. You can work along side the sheep and goats to remove these invasive plants or help plant new trees once they have finished up at one of the forest restoration sites. We do grass plantings and site clean up projects too.
