  • 6. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonPart 1: Setting Up Your BlogBlogging is a lucrative source of profit and blogs are easy to set up andmaintain. Imagine a life where you are paid to write on stuff that interests you, whenever you want, wherever you are. The mere flexibility of blogging makesit easy for you to just kick back, relax and go on a vacation whenever you feellike it.In this article, we are going to look into the profitability of a blog and set up ablog of our own at no cost! Interested? Read on!First, we need to obtain a blog. There are several options – host a blog on yourown domain or get a free blog. For starters, let’s talk about the free blogs. Youcan obtain a free blog at www.blogger.com or the newer (and better!)www.wordpress.com. If you are a techie, you must have heard of Wordpress, afree blog engine that is robust and infinitely expandable.Blogger.com is actually owned by Google, so it will be detected on Google’sradar faster and you will be indexed faster. Wordpress.com, however, is arelatively new option so I have no comparison on the speed of getting indexedby search engines. However, Wordpress is better in the sense that it has moreadvanced features such as Trackbacks and Categories. You can also manageyour sidebar links more efficiently (more about this later).Get a free blog at either Blogger.com (http://www.blogger.com/signup.g) orWordpress (http://wordpress.com/signup/). Then, familiarize yourself byposting your first post on your blog and tinkering around with the options andtemplates. Here are a few common ―blog-related‖ words to help you out:1) Permalink – Permalink stands for permanent link, which is a URL (uniform resource locator) that leads to an individual post that you make in your blog.2) Trackback – When you post about someone else’s blog post elsewhere, your post will show up in their ―trackback‖ section. This feature, however,The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 7. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton is not available with a Blogger.com account.3) Pinging – Blogging seems to be paired with pinging almost every time either one is mentioned nowadays. Pinging is actually the action where a certain aggregator is notified whenever your blog is updated, so that the aggregator may show the newest post of your blog on their website. This is a useful way to gaining traffic, which we shall discuss later. For now, I shall leave you testing out your new blog and the features that comeincluded with it. In the next articles, we shall discuss the many ways we cangain profit from a blog, as well as tips on how to write posts that keep visitorsglued and keep coming back for more!Part 2 – Blog ContentToday, we’re going to discuss the type of content that is suitable for your blogin order to make it profitable. First off, I want you to understand that there isno fixed scope that your blog should have, which means you can write aboutwhatever you’re interested in.However, the difference between a profitable blog and a non-profitable blog isthe way the blog is written. Just imagine, would you prefer to read youruniversity professor’s lecture notes or the latest novel by your favouriteauthor? You may prefer to read the novel because it appeals more to your interest, orbecause it is not as mind-numbing as the lecture notes by your professor. However, the most important point is people like to read ―light‖ stuff most ofthe time. You see, when people log on to your blog, they are not only lookingfor information – they are also looking for information they can obtain easily, and better still in a relaxed manner. So, to attract more visitors as well as to keep your current visitors coming backfor more, it is very important to add a human touch to your blog posts. Thiscan be done by simply imagining you’re talking about a certain topic with yourpersonal friend. An extra bonus for your readers would be a great sense ofhumour, so try to add funny comments in your articles where they areThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 8. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonsuitable.Another important key point is to avoid addressing your reader as a pluralunit. What I really mean is you should not write as if you’re preparing a speech.Instead, you should write as if you’re having a conversation to a single personbecause this will make your visitor think of you more as a personal friendrather than a person of higher authority.Besides that, it is also very useful to establish your own personality throughyour words. Human beings are very curious creatures, so naturally yourvisitors would want to know as much about you as the information you’reoffering them.Having a distinctive personality in your blog would make a world’s differencebetween your blog about gadgets and all the other blogs about gadgets outthere. This is a lot like creating your own brand name, where peopleimmediately remember your blog’s name when they need to find outinformation about gadgets, just like how people immediately think ofMcDonald’s for fastfood or Nike for sportswear. So, the lesson for today is to simply write as an equal friend to your visitors, write to them as if you’re talking to a single person and establish your ownpersonality on your blog.Part 3 – Blog Content BrainstormingFace the fact – your blog needs to be regularly updated to maintain itsreadership! Hence, you must always find fresh topics to write about, and we’regoing to discuss how to do just that in this article. We have discussed how to write attractively, so now we are going to discusswhat we are going to write on. The very first option that I think a bloggershould write on is a topic that he or she feels passionate and interested in.You’ve chosen to make blogging your career because you want to escape aThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 9. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonmundane job – forcing yourself to write about something that you’re notinterested in is as torturous as as your mundane job!The other reason I ask you to write about something you’re passionate about isbecause your feelings and emotion shows through your writings! If you feelindifferent to a certain subject but still write about it just for the sake of it,your readers will notice it. Remember the advice about writing with apersonality? Forcing yourself to write will not establish a welcoming style atall.Once you have chosen your main theme, start posting to your blog about itand make it a habit to post at least once every day, even if it’s only a commenton the newspaper article you read today. Think of yourself as a gigantic train. It takes a lot of effort to get you moving. First, you might just budge an inch, and later trudge slowly on until you finally reach your full speed. Then, it’lltake a lot of effort to stop you instead! However, no matter how well you know your topic, your brain is bound to getexhausted over some time, so here are methods to brainstorm for content foryour blog.1) The very best way to brainstorm is to see what other bloggers have to say about stuff happening in your field of discussion. And the very best way to find related blogs is to use http://blogsearch.google.com/ or www.technorati.com. There are other decent search tools too, you just have to look around. From other blogs, you can gather more knowledge on your subject and you can also comment on what others have to say on your own blog!2) Once you’ve established contacts with other bloggers in your field, you’ll have quite an unexhaustible ―conversation‖ ongoing, so you’ll not need to actively search for content to write about. However, if you’re still stuck, search for news articles related to your niche in the local newspaper or online through sites like http://news.google.com and http://news.yahoo.com.3) You can also have conversations with people with the same interest as you in the particular niche you choose, so you will eventually build up a bank of questions and answers and interesting discussions to write about in your blog. To do this, join forums related to your niche, but don’t join everyThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 10. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton forum there is out there. Stick with one or two with the biggest number of members or the one which is most focused on your niche. This will also come in handy much later in gaining traffic and generating profits.Remember to keep up your momentum of posting at least once per day (ormore if you have a lot of content to write about) so that the major searchengines will know that your blog has fresh content everyday. This will attractthe search engines to spider your page on a more frequent basis, hencegaining you extra traffic.Don’t worry about the paragraph above about generating traffic and searchengines, because we’re going to talk about that in more detail later. For now, remember to keep a consistent effort everyday and build up momentum likethat of a locomotive!Part 4 – On Page Search Engine OptimizationNow, you should have a blog full with content you have passionately written. It should be a very interesting grapevine for the community of your chosenniche, as opposed to a lifeless factsheet. However, no matter how delicious your content is, if there is nobody to read ityou can’t generate profit from it. Traffic is the lifeblood of your blog. In orderto attract people, you must offer attractive information. Simple enough. However, to get traffic onto your site, you have to think backwards. Where dopeople look when they need information? Yes, they search using searchengines like www.google.com, www.yahoo.com and www.msn.com, to name afew more popular ones. So, to get these people on your blog, your blog needsto rank high on search result pages of these search engines. When thesepeople search for information through the search engines and see your siteamong the top results, they will naturally click through to your blog! The art of getting your blog or website onto high rankings on search resultpages is called search engine optimization. It is a very complex and hardsubject to master, but that doesn’t stop us from learning simple yet effectivetechniques to conquer the search results for certain keywords. The moreThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 11. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttoncomplex techniques are usually needed to fight for very competitive andgeneral keywords such as ―fat loss‖, but I’ll teach you how to overcome thatlater. For now, let’s determine the keywords that you want to optimize your site for.For example, your blog talks about tech gadgets. Now, you’d want to check inGoogle whether it is a very competetive keyword. At this time of writing, thereare 29, 000 ,000 search results. Think you can beat 29, 000, 000 sites at yourfirst attempt? I don’t think so.Now, let’s try to narrow down our scope. Let’s look for ―technological gadgets‖instead. At this time of writing, Google lists 792, 000 results. That’s moremanageable, but you’d like to search for more focused keywords. However, let’s optimize your blog for ―technological gadget‖ just for the sake of learning.First, you have to pay attention to the title of your blog. Since you’reoptimizing for technological gadgets, you need to have that exact phrase inyour blog title. For example, a line like ―Your Best Technological Gadget Blog!‖would work great. You can change the title of your blog in the Blogger controlpanel or the Wordpress blog when you’re creating it. If you’re proficient withHTML, you can even do that on other blog engines like Moveable Type.Bottom line? Learn a little HTML!Other than that, your page heading should also contain the term you’reoptimizing for. The page heading is the bit of text in your code that is enclosedwithin the <h1> and </h1> tags. This is important as it tells the searchengines what your page is about (in this case, ―technological gadgets‖). Sincewe’re posting a blog, the <h1> </h1> tags are usually the post titles, soremember to include the term there whenever relevant. One last bit, you should also sprinkle the words ―technological gadgets‖ inyour posts whenever possible. The frequent occurrence of that phrase in yourblog will hint the search engines that your blog is really relevant to that topic. However, this is the most important bit of all. Always keep in mind that you’rewriting for real life people who read your blog to obtain information, so it isvery stupid to spam your blog with keywords! In fact, if you do that, the searchengines will end up thinking you’re spamming and drop your ranking furtherThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 12. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttondown into oblivion… So keep in mind! Write for humans, not search engines!Part 5 – Offpage Search Engine OptimizationWe’ve already optimized our blog to rank well for search results of certainkeywords that we’re targetting, but here comes the sad news – it affects yourranking in only very minor ways. However, don’t skip this step as every littlebit helps when you’re competing for search engine rankings! Now, we’re moving on to offpage search engine optimization. That is, factorsthat are not on your blog but affect your search engine rankings very greatly. There are a lot of offpage factors, but we shall study them one by one. The firstand most obvious one is the number of links to your blog.As a general rule of thumb, the more links to your blog, the more the searchengines think you are an authority in that particular niche and hence thehigher they rank you. However, take care to observe the quality of the links. For example, a thousand links from totally irrelevant sites like online datingsites would not help at all because your blog is a technological product blog. Incontrast, a single link from a highly authoritative site about technologicalgadgets will get the search engines crawling about your blog like the Fedsstorming a crack den…Anyway, the most cost effective way of getting high quality links fromauthoritative sites is simply to ask for it. If your blog contains high qualitycontent that is original and will provide valuable information to the site’sreaders, chances are the webmaster(s) will link to your blog or even writeabout you!Let’s talk about how we should ask these webmasters of authority to link toyour blog. We’re discussing this based on the presumption that your blog isreally content rich and offer high quality information to anyone in your nicheor topic of discussion. The most viable option would be to send an emaildirectly to the webmaster.First, let’s look for the top sites in your niche. Simply search the major searchengines for the term that you’re targetting. In this case, let’s search forThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 13. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton―technological gadgets‖. The first few results, www.t3.co.uk andwww.acarplace.com/brands/gm/gadgets.html are commercial sites, so don’tbother asking. We’re looking for community-based sites and other blogs thatare more accessible to a complete newcomer like you. Seems likewww.gizmodo.com would be a good option! So, compose an email to the webmaster of www.gizmodo.com (whose emailaddress you shall find on the site). They even have their AIM contact there, soit’s also a good choice if you use AOL Instant Messenger. Start by stating howyou came across their site (i.e. ―looking for gadget information‖, NOT ―lookingfor link partners!‖) and how you think their site provides valuable info.Basically, try to say something really good about their site honestly. Then, suggest that so-and-so content on your own blog will be a nicecomplement to their site’s content and vice versa. Put a link on your blog totheir site and ask subtly if they might be able to do the same to weld amutually beneficial relationship between the site and your blog.Along the way, you might find people who won’t even respond to your email,so forget about them and move on. Remove the links from your blog to theirsite if they have not responded to your email within two weeks, which is apretty long wait.Keep doing this for the first 30 search results that pop up, and before long youshould have quite a few good sites all linking to you. In the next article, weshall explore further the more advanced offpage factors, and ways to improvethem!Part 6 – Offpage Search Engine Optimization IIIn the last article, we talked about how getting high quality links fromauthoritative websites in your field can boost your search engine rankings. This time, we’re going to explore further into linking strategies, and how todetermine and obtain ―high quality‖ links. We’re also going to talk brieflyabout Google’s PageRank. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 14. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonFirst, let’s examine a regular link. It’s a piece of text (or image, but we’re goingfor text) that links to your blog, and some of the factors that matter are1) The address which it links to2) The text of the link3) The PageRank of the page on which the link residesLet’s analyze this information one by one. First, you’d naturally want the linkto link to your blog, but to which page of your blog? To an individual post or toyour blog’s home page? Since your blog is a constantly updated website, it isalways wise to accumulate all the links to point to your main page instead ifindividual posts because they tend to be very time-sensitive.The text of the link also affects your rankings for a certain keyword. Let’s sayyour blog is about technological gadgets and another site has a link that says―Barbie dolls‖ and links to your blog. Doesn’t make much sense, right? If a lotof links that link to your site contain the terms ―technological‖ or ―gadget‖, itwill greatly boost your rankings for those keywords. Hence, it’s essential to putsome thoughts when requesting links from other webmasters as you wantthem to link to your blog with appropriate keywords. Now, about Google’s PageRank. It’s basically a scale set by Google to measurethe popularity of websites. You can read more about it onhttp://www.google.com/technology/. What is interesting is that the higherthe PageRank of a certain website, the more frequent Google’s robots will visitthe website to index it. Of course, the PageRank of a page will also help it torank higher in Google’s search engine results. In short, having a highPageRank will bring you many benefits SEO-wise.Your blog will start with no PageRank (which is different to PageRank 0)because Google has not yet indexed your blog. Once Google’s robots find yourblog through links on other sites, your blog will show a PageRank of 0 anddepending on the PageRank of the referring page, your blog’s PageRank willalso rise eventually.Getting high-quality links to your blog will help direct targetted visitors whoare interested in your niche to your blog, enable search engines to find andindex your blog and ultimately rank higher in search engine results. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 15. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonPart 7 – More Traffic SourcesGetting links from other websites is not the only way to attract visitors to visityour blog. This time, we are going to explore alternative methods to attracthigh quality traffic with both free and paid methods. The first thing you can do to generate traffic is to recycle all the content youhave written on your blog. What I really mean is to turn your blog posts intolittle ―manuals‖ or articles that help people solve their problems or offervaluable information and submit them to article directories. These articledirectories are like aggregators that collect articles of similar themes togetherin one place, so they receive thousands and thousands of qualified visitorsevery day. When you submit your articles to these directories, you are exposing yourname to the thousands of pairs of eyes visiting them for free! On most articledirectories, you are also permitted to include a ―resource box‖ where you caninclude your contact details, a simple biography and so on. This is where youcan truly leverage the traffic of the said article directories. Some good article directories to get you started:www.eZineArticles.comwww.ultimatearticledirectory.comwww.submityourarticle.comAnother excellent way to gain traffic is to join internet forums that is based onyour niche. To find these kind of forums, just go to any search engine andenter ―<your niche> +forum‖, without the quotes. You would want the mostfocused forum with a substantial number of active members, and preferablyalways bustling with activity. Just check the dates of the threads posted on theforum. When you join active forums that focus on your field of discussion and postvery useful and valuable posts, your peers will start noticing you and payingattention to what you have to say. In most forums, you are also allowed toappend a link to your site in the signature line, which is under every post youThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 16. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonmake on the forums. People will click and visit your blog if they find yourposts helpful and informative. This way, your credibility is built even beforethey land on your blog, so traffic from the forums would be easier to turn intoprofits if your blog is selling your own products or recommending others’ asan affilliate since they are already convinced you’re an ―expert‖ in the field. The strategy we’ll discuss is word of mouth. Let’s say you already have a dailyvisitor count of 100. What if you compiled a small report or gift and posted iton your blog, saying that if a certain visitor can refer three of his/her friendsto visit your blog the gift will be his/hers for free? If your small report or gift islucrative enough, it will generate a small buzz among your blog readers andthey will surely refer their friends to this blog that they frequent! You can also utilize the ―blog and ping‖ technique that everyone’s talkingabout. Basically, when you update your blog, you can let blog portals such aswww.technorati.com know by pinging them. You can ping a lot of portals atonce by using the free www.pingomatic.com.Besides the techniques described here, there are also paid methods like buyinglinks from high-ranking pages or buying banner advertisement space. A thingto keep in mind when buying paid traffic is to always weigh your profitsgenerated from the paid ads. If your profits do no offset the expense, you willend up losing money, so choose wisely.Part 8 – Monetizing Your BlogYou have been working hard to produce good-quality, original content on yourblog and you have attracted a decent amount of traffic by doing so. However, money is not going to appear out of thin air just because you have traffic. Youhave to turn your traffic into money. There are several ways to generate profits from the visitors of your blog, andGoogle’s Adsense programme allows you to do so with ultimate ease. First, visit their website at http://adsense.google.com/. You’ll find out more abouttheir advertising programme there, but here are some extra bits I’d like to tellyou. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 17. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonFirst, Google’s Adsense programme is a really useful way to monetize yourblog because when users finish reading your newest post, chances are theywant to leave your blog because they have nothing else to do on your blog. Ifyour Adsense advertisement block is visible on your blog, they might seeadvertisements relevant to them and click on them to exit your blog. Ka-ching!You’ve just cashed in on your first virtual cents! But yes, your profits will only be cents if you don’t ―do it right‖. This involvesplacing your Google ads in the right places and ensuring they blend in to yoursite so that they appear more like links rather than advertisements to yourvisitors. Consult the pagehttps://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html tosee the ―heat map‖ of your blog. The ―hotter‖ a certain area, the greater thechances of someone looking at your blog.Once you get a Google Adsense account, you can change the colour of youradvertisement text and links. You will want them to match the colours on yourblog. If your blog’s text is black and the links are red, do the same for the adblocks too! It’s that simple.Another way to earn profits from your blog is to recommend products to yourreaders. When your visitors buy from the merchants you recommend, you getto keep a little commission too. This is known as affiliate marketing and it isvery easy to start because you don’t have to create your own products orservices.Anyway, let’s refer back to our technological gadgets blog example. Let’s sayyou discover this Gadget X on a merchant’s website, and they offer an affilliateprogramme. What you would do is to create a post in your blog and do amini-review on this Gadget X. Rip it apart and point out its benefits and badpoints, if any, and include a link (which is given by the merchant) for thevisitor to purchase the Gadget X online. If your visitor clicks and purchases the gadget, the merchant will track fromthe link that the purchase is referred by you, so they will send you your shareof the profits. Imagine if 1 out of every 100 visitors you get purchases thisproduct, and you earn $27.00 commission from each purchase! If you get10,000 visitors in a month that would be a $2,700.00 paycheque for you justThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

This is helpful later on when you decide to do collaborations such asinterviews. In fact, when you’re out of ideas for writing on your blog, you caninterview other blog owners in your niche! Human beings are curiouscreatures, so naturally they would like to know more about a person whosewritings they read so often. If you’re using Wordpress, Textpattern, MovableType or any other advancedblog engines, you can also post trackback links on your posts. This means youcan post an article about what other people have posted! Your particular postwill then appear as a link on that post you have written about. This isdefinitely a great way to get traffic if you post brilliant insights about a post ona very famous blog. Since the famous blog already has a per-existing pool ofreaders, this is like a shortcut to hog their visitors! The only thing you wouldwant to observe is to keep your posts sensible and insightful, or you’ll beviewed as a spammer. On the other hand, if you’re using Blogger, you would not be able to usetrackback links. However, you can post insightful comments on other people’sblogs and subtly include a link back to your blog. You can make it seem likeyou’re pointing to your blog as an extra reference to the subject of discussion.Of course, this technique is not only limited to Blogger users and users ofother blog engines can employ this strategy as an additional traffic source.Part 11 Using article sites to drive traffic to your blogArticle sites are still, stickiness wise, one of the single best ways to drive trafficand build a name as a expert, all at the same time.So how does this tie to your blog?Well, for a start, if youre blogging on the same topic as youre writing contenton, you should have a fairly good niche to promote into – and can use any ofyour longer, more coherent posts as article content. But if you want it toThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 21. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonwork really well, there are a couple of steps you MUST follow. 1) Make sure your article is coherent. Blog posts, by their nature are supposed to be less informal than the standard article – like youre having an intimate conversation with a group of friends, instead of a more impersonal discussion with your readers, but at the same time, the best blog posts make TERRIBLE articles. So a blog post that is also going to be used on article submission sites should be both interesting, and slightly more formal than standard blog posts. 2) Post it on your blog, and add your resource box at the end – you can make it clear that its a free reprint if you want, or you can simply post it in a category for your reprints. That way, you can offer a feed of your reprints too, and include the link in your resource box. Also include the permalink to the post itself in your post – which means you will need to edit the post after posting the first time. 3) Wait a month – in that month, submit the article to any bookmarking sites, and ensure that you maximize its impact by encouraging your readers to vote for it too. 4) Ensure your post is in the search engines by searching for the first line of your article. If its not in the search engines, work on getting it there – read up on site maps and other products designed to get you in the search engines. 5) Submit your content to a maximum of 10 reprint sites. Make sure your resource box doesnt break any of their rules, and make sure that you leave comments OPEN on these posts (if you close them ordinarily.Following these five steps wont guarantee your success in using articlemarketing, but they will eliminate most of the serious beginner mistakespeople make when submitting to article reprint sites.Part 12 Blogger or Wordpress? The two main hosted blog types, are Blogger and Wordpress – youll find thatwhenever a discussion about where its best to host your blog, if youre nothosting it yourself, that these two are rated the highest. So which of the two services is better?Ultimately, both services will offer you a strong and solid base to blog from,The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 22. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonbut there are a couple of distinct differences between Blogger and Wordpress.WordpressWordpress hosted services are not designed to be used for commercialpurposes – nevertheless, most people do. You get a choice of themes (andwithout paying, you cant design your own theme) and a choice of plugins. You can map your domain to the site, for a fee, giving you the appearance ofhosting it yourself.Wordpress hosted (at http://wordpress.com) is almost identical to hosting ityourself, other than the obvious bonus of not actually needing to look afteryour install. But its disadvantages include being at the mercy of a third partysite, and needing to pay for additional services. These still cost less thanbuying hosting and setting the blog up yourself.BloggerBlogger is owned by Google, and is designed around ease of use. You can ftpyour blog onto your own site, or host at a domain(yourblogname.blogspot.com) of your choice. Blogger doesnt use plugins, but does let you use your own theme, within certain limits.A huge community has been built around Blogger, but unlike Wordpress.comthey allow commercial based blogs as well as non commercial, which meansthey are more prone to spam.In conclusion. If you really cant host your own blog at your own site, playwith both Wordpress and Blogger, because ultimately, the main difference willbe between which one your more comfortable with. And thats the one youshould use. Blogging has rapidly become THE primary traffic generation tool of newbiesand advanced marketers alike. Its an easy, and efficient way to create andmaintain connections with customers, staff, colleagues and peers, and best ofall, ensure consistent and easier to link to listings in search engines, and fromsites. Whilst many people are saying that the money is in the list - and while thatsstill true, there is a certain element of truth in the concept that the Internet ischanging in favor of blogs. This change is meaning that though you mightnot make the same sorts of sales as you do on lists via your blog, but that blogsare still a powerful, and compelling way to make money online - and, of courseThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 23. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonbuild your list. Blogging and list building dont need to be mutually exclusive of one anothereither - both tactics compliment one another very deeply and will allow you toextend your reach exponentially. This reach expansion may seem slow atfirst, but one of the best things about it, is that people will, of course, remember and reference you if you provide serious value to them - somethingthat most new bloggers overlook. Blogs contain one very powerful concept - interaction. With interactionyoull find that people are more interested in what youre saying, and youllgain insight into how your market actually works, which, in turn, gives you theability to drill down even further into your chosen specialty area. With a little help, planning, and work, you can build an amazing, engagingand useful blog that is a credit to your company and a customer basedconnection that rewards you, and them with a rich relationship - and rewardsyou with loyal customers that will follow you to the ends of the earth ifnecessary.Depending on your blogging style, youll either make friends or enemies – buteither way, they WILL comment on your blog. People that comment aremore likely to return to your site – and those that return WILL give you thefeedback, and basis for more content. Blogs are win win – so why dont yougo out and get one today?Part 13 Mistakes that bloggers makeBloggers make mistakes all the time. But most of them are easy to avoid, andeven easier not to create in the first place.Mistake one – not sticking to the topic of your blog. Blogs are designedaround a theme – and the more focused the theme, the more likely youllattract interested traffic. Most new bloggers however either cast around fora theme, hoping to hit on something that works, or are just scattered ingeneral.Solution – keep your posts as focused as possible on the overall topic that youset out for your blog.Mistake two – Not driving traffic to their sites.Blogging isnt just about posting content. Unfortunately, most people thinkthat if they build it, they will come and thats simply not true. not updatingThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 24. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonoften enough – most bloggers start out really well – they write lots of postsand then, it tapers off. They become discouraged, or worse, they think theyarent doing it right. Blogging needs just as much attention as any other site, sometimes more so – and like most sites, unless you hit on something reallybig, youll find that you dont make much of an impact at first.Driving traffic to your site CAN be fairly simple though – you can do it bytaking part in other sites, and using your url in your sigline, you can commenton other blogs, or bookmark your site – with wide exposure youll gain farmore traffic than simply relying on SEO.Mistake three – not connecting with others in your nicheSolution - its important to contact others in your niche, because it gives you achance to participate in link exchanges. One of the best ways to do this ismutually recommend one anothers sites – you can do this, quite simply, byasking the site owner to review your site, and you can do the same. That way, youll build a more valuable link base for the person youre reviewing, andthough they are creating a two way link exchange with you, the review stylelink exchange is always more valuable. No matter what mistakes bloggers make, theres always a way to fix them – byworking on the solution, youll find that implementing the solutions will helpimmensely.Part 14 The five most important things to do with a newblogNo matter where you blog, or what you decide to do with your blog, there are acouple of must do steps.Step one – make sure youve configured everything. Theres nothing worsethan having done 99% of the work, only to be let down by the final 1%. Toensure youve got the best fighting chance to get the best attention for yourblog, you should fill in everything that you can. This includes any profile settings, and in the case of Wordpress, any plugins orother information that needs to be completed – many plugins and themesrequire some work to make them usable.Step two – pick a theme and stick with it. Youll need to pick a theme thatyou like and upload it. Making your blog stand out from the rest is a majorThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 25. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonstep in retaining traffic. More importantly, if you make it yours, the youremore likely to work on it more often.Adding a theme also makes you appear LESS like a spammer – mostspammers dont personalize their blogs – they stick with a couple of defaultthemes and dont add much personal information.Step three – Write some content. When youre ready to upload the content, you should set it up to create a great archive. Create at least five posts andupload them to your site.Step four – Promote that content – once youve got a nice stock of content upstart promoting your blog. Consider using your posts on article sites, exchanges and more – youll get more traffic if you diversify, so remember toadd your site to bookmarking sites – and, encourage your readers to do so too.Step five – have fun!Blogging, ultimately, is about connecting with readers and will give you areader base to discuss your work with – but it will also allow you to expressyourself, make friends, and spread your expertise over the web. But most ofall, blogging is enjoyable, so always keep it that way, and have fun!Blogging 101If writing is an art, then, blogging is one way of using words to come up withan art. This is because people who are into blogging are the ones who areartistic on their own sense, carefully choosing words that would best describetheir feelings, sentiments, wishes, desires, and everything.Basically, blogs were first introduced as weblogs that refer to a ―server’s logfile.‖ It was created when web logging hit the virtual market. Since itsinception in the mid-1990s, web logging gradually saturated the virtualcommunity making the Internet a viable source of greater information. However, with web logging, you still need a web site and domain names, butwith blogging, you do not need anything just an account with blog providers. In most cases, these kinds of blogs are free of charge. With the onset of blogging in the industry, personal journaling had been acommon ground for people who wish to be known all over the world. People listen to the radio for entertainment, usually to listento the latest music or to their favorite radio program. In between theprogram, advertisements on products and services are being played. For many years, this has been the trend in advertising. But now that theradio medium is almost behind the audio-visual medium, the TV, and theInternet, other marketing strategies have to be employed to continue thebenefits of advertising through audio. It is then that the benefits of using music on websites were discovered. Before, music on the Internet was just available in downloadable forms asmp3. Even through hosting downloadable music on their servers, companieswere able to get much traffic on their sites. And everyone engaged inInternet marketing knows that website traffic plays a big role in boostingproduct and service sales. However, there had been a problem with illegal music download in whichartists, musicians and record companies have lost millions of revenues. Then, came the popularity of Internet music streaming. Unlike the former, radio streaming does not allow download of the music files. Thus, thecopyrights of the artists and record label owners are protected. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 35. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonSo, how can this be done? There are several ways to stream audio from yoursite. First, is to stream a radio program from your site or blog. You can findfree affiliate programs that allow you to stream their radio content from yoursite. What will this mean to you? This means that your site will have new audiocontent every time it is visited. Whats even great is that the content is beingupdated even without much effort from you.In this case, what you needed to do is to signup with an Internet radio stationand have the link embedded on your blog or website.Another way is to stream mp3s. To do this, you just need to upload yourmp3files on a server and add the files links to the page. When the link isclicked, the browser opens a media player window and plays a file. However, since the file is in mp3 format, it may also be downloaded. Downloadingmusic files without the authorization of the copyright owner is illegal. Therefore, if you will be using this type of streaming, make sure that you havethe appropriate permit to do so.A third way to add audio to you blog or website is to stream music throughorganizing playlists. Playlists are m3u files, which if downloaded, will notplay music if offline. Using this process, however, can be complex. Here isa short instruction on how to do it.1. Save your mp3 or wma file on the server. You may skip this step if youknow that the file exists on another server and know the link to that file.Make sure that the link has a .mp3 or .wma extension.2. Everybody knows about textblogging. Now they use videos for abetter way of expression. This form of communication may entail a lot ofresources, but it is all worth it. If pictures say a thousand words, videobloggingexceeds that by far.A videoblog requires larger disk spaces on websites, a faster server, and awhole new set of programs to support it. Videoblogs can be fed through RSS.This is technology of syndicating your website to other RSS aggregators.Videoblogging works with people on the internet expressing their selves. Nowif you put this on a business prospective, you are up to a lot of benefits. Thinkof it as a powerful tool in making showing your prospective customers yourline of products or your services. It’s just like showing a commercial all for free. And if you videoblog through RSS, then most probably you are getting yourtarget market.People like to see what they are going to buy. Some would like to see proof andbe sure that they are getting their money’s worth before shelving their dimeson it. All of us know the influence of a thirty second commercial. The effectof videoblogging is similar to that. You show your product, people watch it. Ifthey like it, they buy it. If you present it good enough, they’ll buy the producteven if they don’t need it.Now on the web, things are pretty much static, unlike in television in which allThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

The higher its resolution is the better the output. And you like to present your goods in the optimum way so get the best onepossible. Make a short story, or just capture your goods in one go. Just makesure you are getting the best profile for each. Get those creativity juicesflowing.Lights are important in a production. Make sure you illuminate entirely thearea you are going to use to create videoblog. The brighter the area, thecrispier the images will be. You can also use lighting effects for added appealto the presentation.Should you require sounds for your videoblog, you need a microphone. Recordyou voice as a voice over for promoting the product and its benefit toconsumers. Sounds are as important as videos on a videoblog. It is advisableto make your sound effects as enticing as the video.Your video editing software can be any program. You need this to finalize yourwork. You can add sounds, delete some bad angles, or insert some stillpictures in there too. Some programs are user-friendly and canbe used even with zero knowledge on video editing. Even simple video editingprograms should do the trick. Select your background carefully too. The lightaffects the presentation so make sure that the background and the lightcomplements each other.Videoblogging is a great tool but it also has it downside. It may slow downthe computer so other may steer clear of it. Download time may also be timeconsuming especially if customer is still on a dial- up connection. But don’t let those stop you. How many of youhave dressed up for an interview, I am sure you dont always walk around in asuit and tie!I have spoken in front of many hundreds of people but still enjoy drinks in thelocal and shopping with my friends.Life goes back to normal when you are off of that stage. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

Getyour money back".2).―How To‖ headlines have a very strong basic appeal, but in some instancesalthough they’re better used as booktitles rather than advertising headlines. ―Who Else Wants The Best things InLife?‖ is a good approach with verystrong reader appeal. The psychology here being the need of everyone to make money or improvetheir lives.3).Personalize, and be specific, whenever and as often as you can. After all, your ad should bedirected to ―one‖ person, and thatperson or the person reading your ad must feel that you’re talking to thempersonally.Whenever you sit down to write advertising copy intended to pull the ordersor sell the product - you should pictureyourself in a one-on-one situation and ―talk‖ to your reader just as if you weresitting across from them at yourdining room table. Say what you mean, and sell to them on the product you’reoffering. Be specific and ask them ifthese are the things that bother them - are these the things they want?4).Once you have your reader’s attention, the only way you are going to keep it, isby quickly and emphatically tellingthem what your product will do for them. Your potential buyer doesn’t care inthe least how long it’s taken you toproduce the product, how long you have been in business, nor how many yearsyou’ve spend learning your craft. They want to know specifically how they are going to benefit from thepurchase of your product.Generally, their wants will fall into one of the following categories: betterhealth, more comfort, more money, moreleisure time, more popularity, greater beauty, more success or added security.5).Although you have your reader’s attention, you must follow through with anenumeration of the benefits they cangain. In essence, you must reiterate the advantages, comfort and happiness they’llThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

Visualize your prospect, recognizehis wants and satisfy them.7).Writing good advertising copy is nothing more or less than knowing ―who‖your buyers are; recognizing what theywant and then telling them how your product will fulfil each of those wants.Remember this because it’s one of the―vitally important‖ keys to writing advertising copy that does the job youintend for it to do. 10 business start up tips. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 62. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton2010-04-06 16:02:56Before we get down to the 10 busines tips, I want to give you some importantadvice. Before you start to trade, create a business plan. There are many greatbusiness plan templates available on theweb, theyre not as difficult as you think. The plan will tell you from the outset if your business is viable! It will tell you how much money you will need to earn to make a profit andhow much you need to charge for yourservices. Too many people take the "just think of a figure" approach and thenare surprised when they cant makeends meet.A business plan is called a business plan because it does just that, it allows youto "plan" by setting yourselftargets, targets that will produce the cash flow that you need to grow yourbusiness. I look at my business plannearly every day and when I manage to meet, or even surpass a target I amvery proud of myself and my team andI make sure everyone knows it!Lesson 1.Choose a business you can be passionate about. If theres no passion then youwont enjoy it and your businesswill probably fail!Lesson 2.Dont make the mistake of trying to attempt to supply everything to everyone.Try to work within a specialist sectorand also try to become the best one at it - in other words, beat off thecompetition.Lesson 3. Most of your business will come from prospects you have built aThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

I then engage with my listwith other goodies many times before I actually sell to them.Lesson 4.Dont undersell yourself. Your prospects need to believe that you have theability and the expertise to support them.Lesson 5.Deliver everything that you have promised. In other words dont give falsehopes to people.Lesson 6.If you are looking for people to join your business, perhaps you are a networkmarketer, dont make outrageousclaims of high earnings just for the sake of it. If you do you will find thatpeople will join you with the wrongmotivation in mind. Yes, they want more money but they need also to beentrepreneurs otherwise the line stopsthere, theyre not going to make any sales and will lose interest.Lesson 7.Make sure that you can be seen as a leader, people will join you because of youbefore they join you because ofthe company. You can do this by having a real presence on the web, check out our ImageAttraction System E-course. Make sureyou have your own website and join some business networks like Spoke andLinkedIn. Pay a lot of attention to yourprofile page, its so important, even on Twitter!Lesson 8.The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 65. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonBy Willie CrawfordLet me ask you a somewhat personal question today. The answer to that question determines how you treat your on-line business, and dramatically impacts your chances of on-line success. That question is,"Are you really an Internet Marketing Professional?" Being a professionalmeans that you view what you do as much more than just another job or abusiness. Its something you do because its your "calling. "Its something you dobecause you believe that its what you were meant to do and because youbelieve that it helps to make the world a better place. Youdont have to view itas a permanent calling, but you do need to believe in the importance of whatyou do. If you dont see what youre doing as significant, then you shouldseek a different calling. I borrowed that definition of a profession... of a calling, from how I felt about my job when I was in the military. That was one of thosejobs that you did because you felt that it was something that needed to bedone. The pay generally wasnt that attractive, so you had to look for a higherpurpose in sticking with such an often-thankless, always-demanding jobwhere you were expect to be prepared to sacrifice your VERY life ifneeded. Running an on-line business should be much more financiallyrewarding and certainly demand less personal sacrifice, but it should still beviewed as a profession that you can throw yourself completely into. Likemany professions, your on- line job involves offering solutions to peoplesproblems. Doctors, pharmacists, lawyers, mechanics, and schoolteachers, allprovide solutions to problems. They all fill needs. I submit to you, that if youare an Internet Marketing Professional, your job is no less important, and thatit comes with no less obligation than any of the jobs mentioned above. It mayseem like a "stretch" to envision your job of marketing products and serviceson-line the same as diagnosing and prescribing medications for an illness. Yet,that is exactly what you should be doing. You should be analyzing your customers and clients problems. You shouldunderstand what is causing the problems. You should be familiar withpossible solutions, and you should prescribe the best suitable solution thatyou are aware of. Adapting that view of your on-line business is one of the bigThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 66. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonkeys to your success. Thats because if you do view helping your clients as asacred trust, you WILL really strive not to violate that trust.Theres that word again.... "trust." Lack of trust is what keeps potentialcustomers who want and need what you offer from buying from you. Trust isearned, and people intuitively know whom they can trust. Jay Abraham wasthe first person that I personally heard clearly explain the sacred trust andobligation that a marketer has to his clients. That obligation is to only offer products and services that really make theirlives better. Its to treat a client the same as you would a close friend or afamily member... always deeply wanting only the best for them. Its also sellingthem products and services that you know they need but may not yet realizethat they need. If you conduct your on-line business with that degree ofprofessionalism and commitment to your clients, you do a number of things:Regardless of the product line or service that you are providing, you make surethat the one you offer is the best available for what your client can afford. Inthe real world, not everyone can afford the best doctor or lawyer. However, the lawyer or doctor that they can afford is obligated to provide thebest service that they are capable of rendering to their clients. - You takeyourself seriously. That generally means that you come across to yourprospect as being the expert on your topic. That sometimes means you mayneed more training if youre not the expert on a topic. Taking yourselfseriously also means that you charge what your time and expertise are worth. You dont fall into the trap of competing on the basis of price. - You promotesomething that you believe in.Some on-line marketers promote get-rich-quick schemes that they KNOWreally dont offer their prospects any real earning potential. These people soonburn out - or the universe simply gives them what they deserve. When youreally believe in your product, that is sensed by your prospects. These prospects are therefore more open to examining the products andservices that you recommend as solutions to their problems. You dontnecessarily need to market important sounding products on-line to be aprofessional.People need ordinary good and services everyday, and they turn to theInternet to find them. He sees himself as a professional. That mechanic also views himself as a professional because he can dosomething that not everyone can do. I submit to you, that when you craftwebpages, write ad-copy, create a computer program, or promote a productthrough the search engines, that you also do something that not everyone cando. • 68. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonperspective on the problem--and that may provide a starting point.Another of my favorites comes from Jack Fosters book, "How to Get Ideas."Foster tells of an older office building that housed far more workers than itwas ever designed to handle. The problem was that the building had only twoelevators. During peak hours it seemed to take forever to get one.Foster notes that there were several possible solutions the manager of thebuilding could have chosen. She could have had new elevators installed on theoutside of the building. She could have had escalators built into one of thestairwells. She might have given perks or prizes for workers who arrivedearlier or departed late. She could have established programs encouragingworkers to use the stairs, especially those with offices on the lower floors. Shecould have asked the various tenant companies to stagger their hours. How did she solve the problem? With mirrors. She installed ceiling-to-floor, wall-to-wall mirrors in all theelevator areas. And it worked. Because, just as she figured, people didnt mindwaiting as much if they could spend their time looking at themselves-andperhaps surreptitiously sneaking a peak at the others waiting with them.Confronted with too few elevators, the manager solved a different problem. Ormore accurately she examined the reality and uncovered and then solved thereal problem: the irritation people felt at having to wait.Tactic: When youre looking to fill the glass, its always worthwhile to trydigging deeper, asking yourself, "Whats the real problem here?" Is it notenough elevators or is it something else altogether?Tip: When you disagree with a company policy ask yourself what theyre reallyThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 69. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttontrying to accomplish. What other options can you offer? Maybe you can put upa few mirrors rather than build them an elevator.Any assumptions can be challenged. Every assumption should be.Its like the joke about the three mens clothing shops that opened in thesamebuilding all adjacent to each other. It quickly became apparent that therewas no way all three could survive. The man who ran the store at one end of the building had a degree inmerchandising. He created a beautiful window display and fronted it withposters proclaiming, "Year-End Clearance." The businessman at the other endhad an MBA in marketing. He took out newspaper, TV and radio ads, diddirect marketing and tied it all together with two huge window signs thatscreamed, "Final Close Out Sale."The woman in the middle had no degrees. Shed worked her way up from clerk. She knew very little about marketing and advertising. But she did come upwith a banner to hang across her storefront. It read simply, "MainEntrance."In February 1999, an inmate in a city jail was granted a private phone call.Instead of calling his lawyer or hisgirlfriend this guy called the jail itself. Pretending to be a police official, heinstructed them to take a certain prisoner (himself) from jail over to certainaddress (his girlfriends house) and to leave him there. They did.According to the chief of police, the transfer request was so bizarre thateveryone thought it had to be on the up and up.The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

But efficient use of CRM technology can help you growyour business to heights you never imagined at great velocity. However thisdoes rely on ensuring you are getting the most out of your CRM tools.Below are three ways good use of your CRM software can help you boost yourbottom line and get ahead of the competition, even on a tight budget.1. PayrollFor a start, a good CRM program can enable you to work wonders with lessstaff in place. Full integration of your business leads, scripts and marketingpieces into your CRM system means faster response times, less timeneeded to deal with each prospect and a solid scalable system. This also meansthat you can work with lower paid staff who do not need to be so creative andjust need to follow the system and that you will spend less resources(time and money) needing to train them.2. Repeat BusinessCRM technology and software makes customer retention a breeze. EasilyThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 71. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonautomated processes can be put into place with your CRM software toautomatically follow up with prospects and clients, advise them of servicesthat need to be renewed, offer additional products and promotions and mostimportantly keep your company fresh in their mind. Clearly any manager, marketing professional or business owner knows that repeat business is key toa companys survival and also the lowest cost way to generate revenues.3. MetricsCRM tools make tracking performance and statistics instantaneous with theclick of a button. Most CRM solutions offer a wide variety of tracking tools andmetrics that can be used to monitor and improve your businessdevelopment processes and back end functionality. These CRM tools andreports also mean split testing of scripts, advertising pieces, sales pitches andprocesses is even easier than ever before and can be used to hone yourcompany to a fighting fit money making machine. Why are blog posts becoming a better tool for showcasing your products than websites?2010-03-23 14:00:09It is because blog posts provide the opportunity to promote, discuss andpersuade in a gentle and informative way. When people are reading a website they will skip things and will probably notread pages that are text ladenned.Yet, strangely enough, they will read every word of a blog post, so it is better todo your pitch in a blog post than on a website.Always remember that the blog post must contain something of value, thepitch should be secondary. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 72. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonIt is also much easier to include the keywords you need for search engineoptimization, (SEO).Take a look at your website - of-course you provide information about yourbusiness but it is very difficult to incorporate, much needed, effectivekeywords without making the website unattractive and sometimesunreadable. The Blog post provides the opportunity to include the right keywords. So, to really benefit from the SEO potential of a Blog, the keywords, (thewords that people will use when they are searching for your product orservice), need to be in the title, the headings and throughout the document. It is also beneficial to have a keyword to an external website that has arelevance to your product or service.I know that I have often mentioned that capitals and bold text are not a goodidea they look like you are shouting at the reader but on this occasion it wouldnot be a bad thing to highlight one or two keywords in your post bycapitalisation or italics. One more important note, dont add too many keywords. This could do theopposite effect and get you penalised by the search engines. If you are interested in buying a keyword in one of our blog posts, or youwould like us to write a blog post with a keyword linking back to your websitethen please contact us at keywords@nichemediamarketing.co.ukOne keyword in a blog post written by Pat Sutton - £14/$20 a month - all ourblog posts are marketed extensively throughout our networks, SEO enabledand every time we market a new blog people come back to read our otherblogs so your link is seen over and over again.Imagine your keyword in one of our posts going out to all our Twitterfollowers!Below is just a few of our Twitter accounts. So, the morefacts you can present, the more credible you will be.As you write your profile, always remember that the more facts about "you"you present, the more products youll sell.People want facts as reasons, and or excuses for buying a product - to justify tothemselves and others, that they have not been taken by a slick copywriter. Its like the girl who wants to marry the guy her father calls a no goodwaster, her heart - her emotions - tell her yes, but she needs to nullify the seedof doubt lingering in her mind - to rationalize her decision to go on with thewedding. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 74. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonIn other words, the desire portion of your profile has to build belief andcredibility in the mind of your prospect. It has to assure him of his goodjudgment in the final decision to buy -so furnish evidence of the benefits youhave promised - and afford him a safety net in case anyone should questionhis decision to buy from you.Once you have drawn people towards you and they have the desire to workwith you it is then time to study your product and everything about it -visualize the wants of your prospective buyers - dig up the facts, and youllalmost always find plenty of facts to support the buyers reasons for buying. Here is where you use results of tests conducted, growing sales figures toprove increasing popularity, and user testimonials or endorsements. Its alsoimportant that you present these facts - the test results and the sales viewand not that of the manufacturer. Before you end this portion of your ad andget into your demand for action, summarize everything youve presented thusfar.Draw a mental picture for your potential buyer. Let him imagine owning theproduct. Induce him to visualize all of the benefits you have promised. Givehim the keys to seeing himself richer, enjoying luxury, having time to dowhatever he would like to do, and with all of his dreams fulfilled. This can behandled in one or two sentences, or spelled out in a paragraph or more, but itis the ingredient you absolutely must include prior to closing the sale.Study all the sales presentations you have ever heard - look at every winningad - this is the element included in all of them that actually makes the sale foryou. Remember it, use it and dont try to sell anything without it. Email Marketing using Auto Responders.2010-02-15 17:49:54Sales letters through your letter box are hated by everyone. It’s unwanted, uninvited and fills your re-cycling bin.But it’s pretty clear that it’s also incredibly popular with advertisers. Why?Because while most potential customers throw away their junk letters withbarely a glance, enough take action to make it all worthwhile. They do buy—and in high enough numbers to more than cover the cost ofthose who don’t.Email marketing is pretty similar, but with one important difference: on theWeb, you can only send marketing emails to people who have already chosento receive them. A bit tricky! On the other hand, because those people have already chosen to receive youremails, you can be confident that they’re going to be interested in them. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 78. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonSo how do you get these valuable e-mail addresses?Email is still the most popular and most used application on the Internet. It’salso an efficient means of distributing your message to large numbers ofpeople who have requested that information. As a form of marketing, itgenerates high response rates—and gives you measurable results with instantfeedback. But because email marketings been so abused, it’s just not accepted any moreto send emails to people who haven’t chosen to receive them. Break that rule, and there’s a good chance you’ll be out of business. That gives you the problemof building up a list of willing subscribers. When you’re first starting out, there’s often a temptation to simply purchasean opt?in email list. Lots of people sell them and you can easily pick up amillion or so addresses for just a few pounds. But while that may appear to bea fast, easy way to build up customers, the names on the list may not be up todate, or even opt?in contacts at all.You could well find yourself inadvertently spamming and it only takes oneperson to complain to the right people and you could be in trouble.Similarly, there are also programs that surf the Net, recording every emailaddress they find. These will let you quickly build up a huge list of emailaddresses—none of whose owners will thank you when you fill their inboxeswith marketing material. Forget about them; they’re not worth the effort. It’smuch safer, and much more effective, to take the time to build your own list. One of the most successful methods is the double opt?in technique. The Auto responder is a handy tool that automatically followsup with a series of email messages at preset time intervals and works foryou 24 hours a day. You will be able to develop your follow up messages andset reliable time intervals.Following up with your prospects could mean a 50% increase in your sales.Your potential customers may simply forget about your initial message or theysimply may have a bad day; for that reason, it is so important to follow upwith your prospects at specific time intervals at least five times after sendingyour initial message. You know what they say! You have to get in front of youraudience at least 7 times before they will buy from you! I have had peoplebuy from me sooner but rarely the first time.Auto responders are great for sales letters. You can post articles and blogs toforums and newsgroups, you then offer a free report about your industry andincluded in that you could have a sales letter. You then post the emailaddress of your auto responder and within seconds the user could be readingthe free report and your sales letter. You dont have to do anything.Apart from these, Auto responders also allow you to set up predefined answersto the most likely questions. Some peopledont understand exactly what to expect from the auto responder and they puta message inside the body of theemail. If you dont at least take a peek at these emails, you may accidentallyignore a question from a prospectivecustomer.Auto responders can handle many more emails than you could ever processmanually. Also, you can send a ten page email just as fast and easily assending a two paragraph email. The Auto responder I use is Aweber, but there are many out there.Just remember that the autoresponder is only doing what you should be doinganyway so instead of doing things over and over again yourself, do it once inyour autoresponder program and you never need to do it again. • 82. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonthat I have done a hell of a lot of research on this subject as bad choices canmake the difference between a profitable blogging business and bad choicescan mean no business at all.It is a difficult one because it all depends on your target audience.Of-course there are some great generic ones like Chitika which is an onlineadvertising network which works a little like Adsense. For me Chitika farsurpasses Adsense because not only can you earn with click throughs you canalso earn a residual income for 15 months on your referrals earnings. To clarify, if you sign up to run Chitika ads, (incidentally its FREE), then yourreferrer earns a little bit from your earnings for 15 months and anyone whojoins the scheme through you will generate a little residual income for youon their earnings and so on.Then you have Amazon. This is good if your site attracts visitors from just onelocation. If like me, your website is read by people from all over the world thenthey are not likely to buy a book from Amazon.co.uk if they are based inthe US, nor would a UK visitor want to buy from a US Amazon site. This is abig flaw in Amazons system, I am sure one day they will sort it but at themoment its pants! If you are looking for "set it and forget it" affiliates then you could do worsethan joining people like Affiliate Window . When you join these schemes, andthere are many, you can search for products that would appeal toyour visitors and pick how you want to display your ads, copy the code, uploadto your website and Bobs your uncle! If you want a more active involvement, (mad fool), then sign up with a coupleof direct marketing companies. You can actually get involved with themarketing by sending e-mails to your mailing list and interacting with peopleon the social networks. After a lot of expensive failures, I now champion Mike Dillards products ,because I really do believe his products and courses are genius and ThePublishing Academy because they are helping me with my, soon to bepublished, book and they are great and Darren Rowses 31 Days to Build abetter Blog because this course gave me the confidence and knowledge Ineeded to take the plunge and give up my day job to become a professionalblogger. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 83. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonOne important note. If, like me, you believe that what goes around comesaround then dont dupe your visitors by selling something to them that youdont believe in yourself. If you havent tried it and liked it then dont sell it!I was reading a great blog the other day about using video for marketingpurposes and the writer suggested getting the little Flip video recorder to carrywith you all the time. He had found one of the cheapest places to buy it so Ihad no problem with buying through his link. There is a moral here. If you are going to affiliate to a company, make surethey are competitive in their prices otherwise people will just take the nameand buy it on Ebay. The links in this post are my affiliate links and I will earn a little if you click onthem or buy through them but heh.....if I didnt monetise my blog I wouldntbe able to give you all this great information would I? How To Plan The Perfect Website!2010-02-09 13:52:19According to Wikipedia - The Internet actually started in 1969, (yes, only1969!), as the ARPANET, a Defense Department system designed to letsurvivors share files after a nuclear attack. From being available on just ahandful of top secret computers, it’s grown to millions and millions of users. And it’s still growing. According to a recent survey, the volume of Internettraffic is expected to double annually over the next five years. Consumers areexpected to account for 70 percent of all Internet traffic over that periodwith the rest of the market made up of business users. What does that mean for you?The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 84. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonIt means customers—millions of them.No other business tool can put the products you sell in front of so many peopleso easily. Nothing even comes close. We’re talking about a potential market of over 1.5 billion people around theworld who can buy your products 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If youopened a shop on your high street, how many people would walk past yourwindow each month? If you live in London, maybe a few thousand. If you live in a smaller town, maybe a few hundred. On the Internet, there’s no limit to the number of people you can bringthrough your shop front wherever you live. The Internet has become a major medium for businesses. Recent studiesindicate that worldwide e-commerce will generate £2.6 trillion in revenue by2020 -- a rise from £280 billion in 2010. IDC predicts that by that time, £1.2trillion of B2B revenue will come from e-marketplaces.Considering such staggering figures, it is absolutely vital for smaller andmid-size companies to not only have a presence on the Internet but also toattract customers to their websites. The competition is massive and I am goingto show you how you can compete in the marketplace.1.Make your website attractive, interesting, engaging and interactiveTo succeed at your online business (whether you are selling your ownproduct/service or are selling for other merchants as an affiliate), you need aWeb site created just for that - a simple, focused site. One that is easy tobuild, maintenance-free, low cost, credible, and a powerful traffic-builder andcustomer-converter.Having the right tool and the right product alone doesn’t insure the success ofyour website. There are many factors to be considered while designing a site. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 85. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonUnfortunately, most of these are easily ignored by Internet businessowners.Build It for Speed - Its a fact of modern life - people are in a hurry. Thismeans that you have between 10 and 30 seconds to capture your potentialcustomers attention. To minimise your load time, keep graphics small.Compress them where possible. Use flashy technology (JavaScript, Flash,Streaming Audio/Video, animation) sparingly and only if it is important toyour presentation.2.Target your MarketKnow who your market is and make certain that your site caters to their needs. It is critical that your site reflect the values of your potential customers. Isyour market mostly business professionals? If so, the site must be clean andprofessional. Is your product aimed mostly a teenagers and young adults? Then your site could be more informal and relaxed. The key here is to knowyour market and build the site to their preferences. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 86. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton3.Focus the SiteMake certain your web site is focused on the goal, selling your product orservice. A site offering many unrelated products is not necessarily unfocused, but this is often the case. If your business does offer many products, dedicate a unique page for each instead of trying to sell them all from onepage.4.Credibility Is CrucialThe most professionally designed site wont sell if your customers dontbelieve in you. A clear privacy statement is one way to build your credibility.Provide a prominent link to your privacy statement from every page on thesite as well as from any location that you are asking your visitors for personalinformation. Provide legitimate contact information on line.5.Navigation should be simpleMake site navigation easy and intuitive. Simple and smooth navigation adds tothe convenience of the visitors. Add powerful search and catalog features. Many times a lot of visitors do not have the patience to navigate through thewhole website to find what they are looking for.6.Consistency is the keyMake sure the site is consistent in look, feel and design. Nothing is morejarring and disturbing to a customer than feeling as if they have just gone toanother site. Keep colors and themes constant throughout the site.7.Make your site interactive and personalisedMake your website interactive. Add feedback forms as well as email forms thatallow your prospective customers to ask you any questions they might havepertaining to a product. Personalisation of your website is another keyelement that can lead to customer delight and can increase your sales.Personalisation technology provides you the analytic tools to facilitatecross-selling and up-selling when the customer is buying online. It would giveyou an idea of what products to cross-sell and up-sell. For example, when aperson buys a CD player, a disc cleaner can also be offered. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 87. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton8.Content is KingGood content sells a product. Ask yourself the following questions. Does yourcopy convey the message you wish to get across to your visitors? Is itcompelling? Does it lead your visitor through the sales process? Have othersreview, critique and edit your copy to insure it is delivering the intendedmessage. Always double check your spelling and grammar.9.The NavigationThe aim of a web sites navigation is simply to allow users to get to the contentthey require. For sites that have a large number of sections and web pages(and information sites can be one of these) the navigation plan has to beproperly researched and designed. You have to consider different types ofvisitors and simulate the most common steps they would take to find whatthey want on your site and the navigation plan has to optimise this movement. For example the steps required from searching a catalogue of items, selectingfrom the catalogue, adding them to a shopping cart, proceeding to check out,to entering the payment particulars is a specific sequence that should befacilitated by the navigation system. If the sequence is haphazard, it could leadto frustration or the user may miss an important step and you would have anaborted sale.To find their way about, users need to know two things:Where they are nowHow to go elsewhereNavigation does not exist in isolation; good site organisation is a prerequisitefor a coherent navigation system.10.Navigation ControlsNavigation controls are the main navigation links; they allow users to movearound the site. Whether they comprise images or text they should bepredictably located in the same place, and with the same appearance, on eachpage.11.The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 88. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonUsabilityThere is no mystery to usability. It simply involves creating a site, which isaccessible to the majority of people, is easy to use and get around and deliverson its promises. You can have a site that meets the most importantstandards of usability by planning it well and always keeping the end user inmind. Remember that web sites should not be designed for their owners - theyshould be designed for their users.Problems with usability could be said to stem from just two sources: the siteitself and the user. In fact the site is always at fault; if a user, howeverexperienced or inexperienced, has problems navigating, getting informationor understanding the site. While websites have become far more complex, web users have become lessrather than more experienced as more and more people go online. It is amistake to think that the majority of users will be web or even computersavvy and will understand subtle clues about content. Most will not.12.Defining a Usable SiteA usable site will:Help users achieve a goal, usually to find something, such as information, orobtain something, such as a book.Make it easy for them to achieve that goalMake it possible to achieve the goal quicklyMake achieving that goal a pleasant experienceA site will be generally usable if:The content is good and relevantThe content is easy to findThe content can be found quicklyThe page is pleasant to look at and cleanly designed Usability ProblemsWhile for large commercial sites investment in full-scale usability studies maybe not just useful but essential butThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 89. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonfew small sites can afford such luxuries. However, identifying problems with usability for your site need be no morecomplicated than asking a few (honest) friends to act as guinea pigs on yoursite and, if possible, watching them silently as they do this. Watching users tryto find information at your site can be both instructive and quite surprising.Remember that if at any stage you feel the urge to intervene and explain, thenyou have identified a usability problem.Pat Sutton is the author of Internet Marketing and Personal DevelopmentBlog, http://www.patsutton.comDont get out! Then put something on thatmakes you feel business like and I promise that your whole attitude willchange. An obvious but important tip is to shake hands with everyone. Perfect astrong handshake and you will create a great impression right from the start. When you get home, follow up on everyone with a short e-mail. I use a great little gadget called aCard Scan, it actually scans the business card and saves it in adatabase ready for me to work with.4. Remember thatsecretary could well be the gatekeeper to the boss!"If you want to see the true measure of a man, watch how he treats hisinferiors, not his equals."-J. K. Rowling5. Join referral networking clubs - people buy from people so you need to getout there and talk about yourself and your business. Be prepared to refermembers and they will in return refer you, thats how these clubs work.Theres only one downfall to these type of clubs - they are usually at anungodly hour of the morning so make sure you make the most of them - notmy best time!2. Join LinkedIn groups - for instance, if youre a widget training business, itspointless joining a group of widget trainers, unless its to get a few pointers. You need to look for groups of people who are likely to want your service.Interact with the right people, listen to their story, answer their questions andcomment on their articles. Get known and seen! An opportunity will come outof it, I promise.3. Give something away for free. Something that will show your potentialcustomer just how good you are. They may not buy from you straight away butthey will remember you when they are in need of a service such as yours.4. Send "snail mail" - a postcard to a business up your street is a veryinexpensive way of marketing but it can be effective. I use Vistaprint for thecheapest postcards and business cards. You see, regardless of the long arm of the World Wide Web, many of us stilllike to work with people from our own local area. Lets say you are looking forsome widget training. Youve found two companies that can do it for £250 aday. One is located the other side of the country and the other is just aroundthe corner, which would you choose?Keep a record of your mailing list and what has gone to them because once isnever enough, you need to get in front of them as many times as you can soThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

A subscribers sign up box. This will enable visitors to subscribe to the RSSfeed of your posts.2. A newsletter subscription box. Once they have agreed to receive yourmailings then you can safely market to them by e-mail - it is always better toadd a few subtle links to your products or services in a newsletter than tobamboozle them with adverts.3. A comment box. When people comment on your blogs you are capturingtheir details.4. The Opportunity to buy something. But somehow we need to workout how to get our business in front of buying customers. So a scattergun approach is not really the way to do it, you need to target the right people. So how do you recruit people to an online business. How do you get people tocome to your website?Online? Offline? Cold calling? Friends and family?Let’s look at Friends and Family first. If you want to lose friends then pitch to them, the same with family members.I don’t know about you but I would hate it if my loved ones avoided mebecause they felt guilty for not buying into my business! So that is a definite―no no‖.Cold calling? Hey! I’m into this online gig because I want to enjoy it, I want abetter quality of life and cold calling just does not do it for me! Take stands at exhibitions.4. Advertise in the newspapers.5. Give out flyer’s in shopping malls and markets.6. Carry business cards for those chance encounters! Then there’s ONLINE.Now this is where your marketing can really rock! Here are my 5 very best online marketing tips.1. Any good at writing? You don’t have to be Jeffrey Archer but a good clear blog with all the rightkeywords can be a fantastic marketing tool. The article should not be about your business but about something helpful forthe reader. Of-course it should be linked to your business, for instance if youare a garden landscaper then an article or blog about growing roseswould be good but a blog about baking a chocolate cake may not be.You need to engage with the reader, they need to see you as a leader andexpert.Once you have constructed your blog or article you then need to add a clearsuccinct signature at the bottom, this is very important for obvious reasons.I know what you’re asking….what do I do with my blog once it is finished?Well if you have a blog section on your website then that is ideal as readerscan click to your website to read the blog. You would open your blog on your website, copy the URL or address and addthat link along with a catchy intro like:The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

Twitter!I know a lot of people think that Twitter is a waste of time well, I promise youthat it is not, if you do it right.A daily tweet containing great advice to followers who are your targetaudience can really boost your profile. If you have a good profile then peoplewill see you in a good light and are more likely to buy from you. If you read myblog, How to market on Twitter, you will see how you can make Twitter reallywork for your business.3. Facebook Fan Pages.Create a fan page with the same name as your business then set to workmaking friends and then inviting them to become fans of your page. Once youhave a reasonable amount of members you can create a badge to uploadonto your website. This creates a sense of community and will give confidenceto your website visitors. Of-course you also have your fans to market to aswell.4. Relationships.Join groups and forums to get to know people, (not to pitch to them), oncethey get to know you they will eventually ask you what you do and then youcan get away with a subtle pitch.5. LinkedIn groups.Join the groups on LinkedIn, you are allowed upto 50 group memberships.Of-course you need to find groups of people who would be interested in yoursector and will be beneficial to you as well. Then once in a group you canupload your articles or blogs to their discussion pages. These are then sent outby the system to the group members in update e-mails. Itsusual to put ―RT‖ plus the originator’s username at the beginning of the tweet. Here’s an example:RT@thebizwoman: How to monetize your blog!Obviously, if you regularly tweet great content then people will pick up on itand retweet you. They will also retweet you if your tweets are relevant to themor even, dare I say it, complementary.A good way to get people to retweet you is to ask to be retweeted. This works really well if your tweets are for a good cause or are likely to behelpful to your followers audience.Heres an example:Entrepreneurs - learn how to monetize your blog PLEASE RETWEET ME!This is only about 66 character; very important if you dont want retweets withclipped off ends as you are only allowed a total of 140 characters in yourtweets. It is always better to simplify the procedure for your retweeter. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 108. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonenormous amount of "get rich quick" schemes. Some are great but someare...quite honestly, a mis-representation.My rule of thumb is...if it sounds too good to be true then it is too good to betrue!I am sure that some people actually do make a lot of money from thesebusinesses but they usually have a large infrastructure behind them. When they say stuff like, "make money while you sleep" it does ring alarmbells for me!In saying that, a busy blog site with the right money making products canactually make money for you while you sleep but you need to work very hardwhen youre awake to get it!I have made a pact with myself, I will only sell products that I firmly believe in,like my Bloggers Workbook. This course actually helped me to change myhobby blog into a great business. So my advice to you is to only sell the stuff that you would use yourself, thatway you have more conviction in your sales pitch. The mailing list is your lifes blood. Always have a sign up box on your website. If you can give something away as a sweetener then that is even better. Makesure that it is something worth having.I would like to E-SHOUT an important point at you....do not abuse yourmailing list. If they have signed up to receive a newsletter then that is whatyou should send them. Your marketing can be inside your newsletter. If thay have signed up to a general mailing list then you have a little morefreedom but the content of anything you send to them should be, value, value, value, a subtle sales pitch, then more value. There are many marketing systems out there, the one I use is Aweber, I findthem the easiest to use and one of the cheapest. There are many more likeIContact, Constant Contact, Getresponse. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 109. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonThe marketing sytem works by allowing you to set up e-mail campaigns. Sowhen your visitor registers to be added to your mailing list it automaticallygenerates an e-mail from your marketing system to ask them to confirm theirsubscription, (they call, this opting in). Once they have confirmedthen the massages that you will have previously set up will arrive intotheir inbox either daily, weekly monthly or what ever days you have chosen. Its as simple as that! The beauty of this system is that any new subscriber, no matter when they join, will receive the first message and then the second and so on.You can actually configure your sign up box within the system too!We would all love to be seen on the first pages of the search engines and if youare selling something unique then you will probably be there after a couple ofdays. But there are many thousands of blogging sites out there, all trying to getto the top spots so the competition is fearce for us.My answer for you is to do what you do best...blogs, blogs, blogs and moreblogs. When you write your blog on your website you need to also upload it to thebest networking sites as well, sites like EZines, Ecademy, LinkedIn, Facebookand Twitter. There is an easy way to do this. Who do you think is to blame for that? We areof-course!Have you noticed on the social networks how many people make a connectionand then immediately try to sell you something. I am the first one to admitthat that was my tactic when I first started social marketing on the web.Its like getting into a Taxi and saying hello to the driver and in your nextbreath introducing your product to him. If you were that taxi driver, whatwould you think? If, however, you have a long drive with him and you allow him to tell youabout his family and his gripes and likes. You could chat to him about how busy he has been and you could comment onhow clever he is to remember all the obscure places, he will eventually feelconnected to you. He will then, more than likely, ask you what it is thatyou do. You will then have the opportunity to tell him about your business orproduct. Remember though, it is still not the best time to sell to him until youhave told him about yourself. You need him to see you as a normal, kind, human person who he can trust and that he can see as the type of person hewould want to buy from. When thatpublisher or editor rejects you, pick yourself up and start all over again witheven more resiliance!A Great Imagination is imperative! You need to be able to see outside the box.Knowledge and information is widely available on the web but you need tohave the imagination to create a useful blog from that information. When youcompose your next blog you need to know who your target audience is goingto be, then you need to work out ways of getting in front of them.Your title, (absolutely essential if you want your blog to be read), needs to grabthem and say, "READ ME!".Knowledge.It is all too easy for someone to claim to be an expert. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 114. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonTheres no Internet police checking your credentials but I believe "what goesaround comes around" so dont copy, dont pinch others stuff and dont claimto be what you are not!A lot of people will read other blogs and articles and do a good job of copyingthem by not copying them. But it is easy to recognise the fakers. Take a look attheir other work. If the writing style is different every time then they areprobably seasoned fake artists.Dont get me wrong, we all do our research, thats what the web is for, buttheres a lot of difference between learning and passing that knowledge on andcopying someone elses articles and changing a few phrases. If I see something that excites me, then I print the article and read it and thendo my report on it. This is a great lesson as not having it sitting there on yourcomputer you are not tempted to copy and paste - you have to use yourown words. One more point on KNOWLEDGE. As is normal with a business, you must beprepared to invest financially - you could do worse than taking up a fewsubscriptions for products and courses on good bloggers websites, you will beamazed how much youll learn. The Discipline to Learn. If you want to keep up with the times you need to be ever evolving. TheInternet and Social Media changes on a daily basis. What was a great strategy yesterday could be a waste of time today. When I first started to market my blogs on Twitter, I was in-undated withvisits to my website even though my followers were under a thousand. Now Ihave many thousand followers yet the response has not gone up thatmuch in relation. I am afraid that we are victims of our own actions. We know that most people who ask us to pop over to their website for somegreat stuff are almost certainly going to have a hidden agenda and alteriamotives. But thats Ok if what you get from then is of value! If you are like me and you are always inquisitive to see if there are anysnippets of information that you can pass on to your readers then you maywell profit from these opportunities but many of you are probably far too busy,so the offerings are ignored. The lesson here is, dont be too hasty, if there is one thing that has come out ofall this, it is that people know that if they give something of value then peopleThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 116. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttondown your street! Its easy, you put a sandwich board out with key phrases tograb their attention? So what can you do to get people to come to you on the web?Good blogs and articles will lead people to your site if they are written withgood content that includes the important relevant key words. So how does good content and great articles get you traffic? Well, many searchengines rely on the keyword and keyword phrases of a site to put it in theirresults list. If your content contains a good number of keywords andkeywords phrases, it may be chosen to be a part of the top listed sites in thesearch result pages. But before you think of just plastering your site and articles with all thekeywords and keyword phrases you can, remember that the search enginepolice will notice if you are trying to abuse the system and will most certainlypenalise you. You must have good well written articles that incorporate thekeywords and keyword phrases properly in their content.I know its difficult as many of you will say that you just dont have the time towrite your own website blogs and articles. But if you can find the time, articlesspecifically designed for the internet will take some getting used to anda certain amount of expertise to create but it is well worth the effort. There are writers who have great experience in doing this and charge only aminimal fee for such work. Writers like this can be regarded as experts in thisstyle of writing and can greatly help your website to get that coveted spot inthe search engine rankings.Other than getting your site in the web results page of search engines, they canalso provide your site with meaningful articles and content that can impressyour website visitors and entice others to view your site. This isthe type of thing that makes your website "sticky" and if you set up an RSSfeed button on your website they may even subscribe to your articles and thesearch engines love that!Of-course, if the mountain wont come to Mohamed...........I take my websiteThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

Sort of like a virtual sandwich board.Depending on the number of words needed, usually, a two hundred and fiftyword article would cost from about $30, (about £20 in English money). This isa small price to pay for having a content rich, well researched andwritten paper on your website and it is a lot cheaper than a Google Adwordscampaign. It is easy to find a good writer as these days most authors will have blog sitesor articles published on websites like EzineArticles.com where you can readsome of their work to get an idea of their type of writing. • 119. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonSo how can you build a rapport with someone enough to get them to buy fromyou?First you need to build up your profile. It is very important that you have your own website or Blog where people canread all about you, your exploits and expertise.Nowadays it is very easy to set up a blog and if you sign up to Wordpress, for asmall monthly fee, you can create as many websites or Blogs as you want. Theyhave great templates and with a little knowledge it is simple to createa seriously professional looking website. You should then join some great professional networking groups such asLinkedIn, Ecademy and Plaxo. So what should your profile look like?Remember, your profile is to promote you first then your business second.Below are 6 the most important factors when creating your profile:1. Your profile must have a picture of you, I can not stress this enough!2. If, like me, you are self taught and your education history is not outstandingthen leave it out.3. The important part of your profile is your work experience. This is whereyou must not be afraid to ―BIG‖ yourselfup. I am not saying that you should lie, I am saying that you shouldaccentuate! Here is an example:Pat Sutton – 2000 – 2009 Marketing Director – Advantage Business AngelsorPat Sutton – 2000 – 2009 Marketing Director – Advantage Business Angelswhere Sutton was instrumental insecuring more than £21 million of investment for small to medium sizedcompanies.4. • 120. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonlooking at your profile and teetering on the edge of contacting you and youhappen to mention that you love James Taylor’s music and so do they then itcould well push them over the edge. Be-careful though if you havecontroversial tastes, you don’t want to lose them because they don’t agree withyou on something.5. Where you are based. If your product or service is aimed at the local marketthen of-course it is advisable to mention that you are local, in fact it isimperative, but if your product is for a national or even world wide audiencethen I would not publish your locality.6. Your expertise. It is important that people see you are an expert and aleader but they must also see you as approachable and friendly.Very important – be careful once you have made that first contact withsomeone, too many people jump in with the hard sell before they have builta relationship.Learn about them first, you do this by learning to listen. How many of us waitwith baited breath to jump into a conversation with a witty comment. Youliterally spend all the time people are talking to prepare yourself for yourcontribution to the conversation rather than really listening to what they aresaying.Listening is power – if you listen you will learn what others want. A good salesperson will use the information deemed from listening to create follow upquestions. So listen in order to understand. Once you have listened thenfollow up with questions, this makes people feel important. If you have madethem feel more important you are on the right track to creating a positiverelationship.So:1. Listen – to hear them, not to give you an ―in‖ to speak.2. Listen – to remember, nothing makes more of an impact than youremembering important details and then building a conversation aroundthose details.3. Listen – to boost their ego, nothing is more of a favourite topic than talkingabout one’s self. Encourage them to talk about themselves.4. Listen – So that you will learn what is their pain and you can then showthem ways to help relieve the pain. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

You could offer a reward of some kind. However, in mentioning the reward or bonus, be very careful that you don’tend up receiving requests for the bonus with mountains of requests forrefunds on the product to follow. The bonus should be mentioned only casually if you are asking for productorders; and with lots of fanfare only when you are seeking inquiries.2. Specify a time limit. Tell your prospect that he must act within a certaintime limit or lose out on the bonus, face probably higher prices, or even theThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

It is important to make itso easy to understand that even a child would not misinterpret what you aresaying.4. Discipline weighs ounces… regret weighs tons! With that said, here are 10 questions to ask yourself:1. Are you disciplined?2. Do you take rejection personally? What about criticism?3. Do you bounce back quickly from making errors or failing over and overagain?4. Are you a planner or do you do things by the seat of your pants?5. Are you prepared to take risks? Moderate or Big?6. Do you stay focused on one thing and one thing only until the result youwant is achieved?7. Do you have the stamina to keep going long after everyone else is tired?8. Can you delegate well, or are you the only one who can do things right?9. Do you wait for things to happen or do you aggressively go after what youwant?10. Do you do whatever it takes to achieve your goals or just what’sconvenient? These questions are critical for you to ask yourself in order to get a truepicture of your nature and behavior. What I have found is that successful people are aware of the consequences ofnot being efficient in these areas, and find other ways, resources or people tomanage for them.Food for thought?Remember to create a masterpiece!Copyright © 2004 John AssarafJohn Assaraf, aka The Street Kid, a New York Times & Wall Street JournalBest-Selling Author, Trainer &Entrepreneur.Go to: http://www.thestreetkid.com to discover his ―Secrets To Building AMulti-Million Dollar Business –Guaranteed!‖Go to: http://www.TheStreetKid.com/seminars to register for your No-CosteCourse, ―The Science Of Making TonsThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

They have 14 groups rangingfrom Blogging to Arts and Crafts to Women in Golf.As the founder of the network I have been invited to speak at events, joincompany boards and consume many delicious lunches. If I, or one of my members, has a product or service we would like to promote,we have a captive audience. I am sure the members have generated manyfruitful relationships through this network. Yes it is a labour of love but itallows me to feed my passion for helping women in business. Now lets take a look at the paid membership site. This relates back to my "Image Attraction System". I am not saying that you should lie - butyou should not be afraid to "blow your own trumpet"!So if you plan to launch a paid membership site you had better have preparedyour "Image" first. You need to give your prospect a reason to believe that you can deliver. Youneed to "shout" credibility! How can you do this?Well first you should have a great profile across all the social and businessnetworks where you must make a conscious effort to engage with people, (notpitching to them- but building relationships). This is how you set about being seen! You can join forums and groups where they are talking about your chosensubject. It is always beneficial to leave comments on other peoples entries andblog posts always remembering to use your full name and website ifpossible, youll be surprised how many people will recognise you and thensearch you out.For me, I built my "Image" through Blogging.I blog about Internet Marketing, Personal Development and The Tarot. Iresearch the things that interested me and then I write about them. If you arebecoming good at something and you can see it working for you then with alittle research you may well be on a path to becoming an expert in it and canpass that information on.Dont get me wrong, when I say expert, I mean expert.Internet Marketing, as an example, changes every day. What worked last weekmay well not work this week. You need to keep up with the times by readingnewsletters, blogs and articles, taking courses and attending seminars. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

You can choose newsfeeds to be delivered to your inbox everyday that will keep you up to date withthe latest trends. The trouble with the internet and the social networks, is that many people willdeclare themselves to be experts when actually all they have done is read anarticle or two.Look for ways that you can prove your credibility. I have reccomendations andtestimonials on my website from people I have worked with and workshops Ihave delivered. If you havent got this far yet then be honest, offer your services for free and ifpeople are happy with what you have done for them then ask them forreccomendations.OK, so youve built your image and are seen as an expert - now what?Decide what you are going to offer to your members! As an example:Our membership site is a Marketing Vault, where you have resources such ase-books, videos and software with articles and newsletters delivered to yourinbox.Your membership site could have many products or just one on-going productsuch as a course or knowledge base. Its up to you.Decide what you are going to charge for membership! We charge a small subscription of $19.95 a month. We find that it is expensiveenough to show a value in the membership but not too expensive to put peopleoff.Lower may devalue your offering and higher may generate less sign ups.If you feel you would prefer a higher price therefore less people joining thenthat is your choice. I personally think that the money is in the list. The morepeople who join the better. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 128. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton How to market on Twitter 22009-10-29 14:30:25Thank you to all the people who have e-mailed me and commented on mywebsites about my first Twitter article. Here is a link to it, if you would like toread it again:http://patsutton.com/index.php/archives/154I am so pleased that you all found it so useful. With that in mind I havedecided to write a sequel by way of your questions answered, hope you find itjust as useful? Here are some of the questions you have asked me:1. What do I tweet about? It is important not to be self serving. If you want people to follow you and tore-tweet you then the magic word is "quality".As an example: A gardening company would tweet about the best way to keepyour grass nice and green or the easiest way to grow marrows...get the drift?Of-course, dont forget to include where the tweet has come from. Ifyou have a long website name then shorten it at "bitly.com". If you arepromoting a blog or website, try asking a question or excite them byannouncing something new happening; you will find that more people willclick through if they are curious.2. The direct messages from people thanking me for following or just sayinghello - should I answer them? If, like me, you have a number of Twitter accounts then it would be a full timetask to answer all your direct messages. I do sift through them and answerones that are of interest but I am afraid that we are victims of our ownactions - a lot of the messages that come into my inbox are automated so it canbe a fruitless excersise and will fall on deaf ears I am afraid.3. Is there a platform where I can manage all my Twitter accounts together? The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 129. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonYes, there are many...I use Hootsuite which I believe is the best - you can addas many accounts as you want and you can tweet right out of the program toall or any of your accounts with just one press of a button. It also has thefacility to feed your Blog or articles automatically to your Twitter stream.4. Is it OK to ask questions of my followers?Absolutely yes. I have asked many business related questions and had somereally helpful replies. The best one was when I was told by my doctor that Ihad a slightly under active thyroid. He said that if I started medication Iwould probably be on it for the rest on my life. He told me that it is possible totreat the illness with natural therapies and change of diet so he advised me togive the natural route a go before resorting to medication. After fruitless searches on Google I decided to ask my Twitter following on my"WomenSpeakBiz" account. I was in-undated with replies and helpfulsuggestions, it was overwhelming.5. How do I know if people are mentioning my Tweets? You can use "Twitter Search" you will be able to search for your Twitter name.It is not a bad idea to contribute to the conversations occasionally. If you use TweetLater, (mentioned in my "How to Market On Twitter" blog),you can subscribe to a digest. They will send an e-mail to you every timesomeone mentions you or re-tweets your tweet.6. Is there a more targetted or better way to follow people?Yes there is, it is called Twellow!Twellow is a directory of public Twitter accounts, with hundreds of categoriesand search features to help you find people. The beauty of Twellow is that youcan search by name, demographic, sex, business, geography, industryor just keyword. As a Twitter user you are probably already on there but, it is a good idea toregister. If you register then you will be able to update your profile and addyourself to categories so that people can find you easily.I found the geographical search great as I have a social network based inWarwickshire, Uk and I wanted to follow people in the Warwickshire area sothat they would, hopefully, follow me! • 132. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton How to market on Twitter2009-10-26 15:43:40I am not going to explain to you how to create an account, I am sure you arecapable enough! Once the account is created with a nice profile and pictureyou can then start to add your ―Tweets‖.You are allowed up to 140 characters and it is advisable to keep the tweets asshort as possible, I will explain why shortly.I know a lot of people use Twitter to talk about their latest night out or whatthey had for dinner but as a business person you can utilize Twitter to marketyour business. The first thing to do is to find followers. You do this by using the search facilityand searching for keywords that people, who are your target audience, wouldbe using, either in their names or their tweets. As an example,―business‖! You will have pages and pages of people talking about businessand now you need to scroll down to choose who you want to follow. Now, it is etiquette on Twitter that if someone follows you, you then followthem, not everyone abides by this rule but a lot do. As I am sure you haveworked out by now; you will end up with people following you who are likelyto be your target audience.Be careful not to follow too many people all at once as, you must balance yourfollower/following ratio. So as not to bring down the wrath of the Twitterpolice, basically; you cant follow 50,000 people if only 23 people follow you.I would suggest that you follow 100 a day for a couple of days then wait untilyou have upped your following thenyou can go and follow more. There is a great little website called, http://huitter.com/ where you canautomatically un?follow people who have not followed you. • 135. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton Do your potential customers forget about you?2009-10-26 11:47:06Posted by Tom Kulzer (AWeber CEO)Your web business probably gets product inquiries from potential customersaround the globe. Inquiries come via e-mail and your web site, and you try tosend information to each hot prospect as quickly as you can. You knowthat you can drastically increase the likelihood of making a sale by satisfyingeach person’s need for informationquickly! But, after you’ve delivered that first bit of information to your prospect, do yousend him any further information? If you are like most Internet marketers, you don’t.When you don’t follow that initial message with additional information lateron, you let a valuable prospect slip from your grasp! This is a potentialcustomer who may have been very interested in your products, but who lostyour contact information, or was too busy to make a purchase when your firstmessage reached him.Often, a prospect will purposely put off making a purchase, to see if you findhim important enough to follow up with later. When he doesn’t receive afollow up message from you, he will take his business elsewhere. Are you losing profits due to inconsistent and ineffective follow up?Following up with leads is more than just a process – it’s an art. In order to beeffective, you need to design a follow up system, and stick to it, EVERY DAY!If you don’t follow up with your prospects consistently,The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 136. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonINDIVIDUALLY, and in a timely fashion, then you might as well forget thewhole follow up process.Consistent follow up gets results! When I first started marketing and following up with prospects, I used afollow up method that I now call the ―List Technique.‖ I had a large databasecontaining the names and e-mail addresses of people who had specificallyrequested information about my products and services. These prospects hadalready received my first letter by the time they requested more information,so I used the company’s latest news as a follow up piece.I would write follow up newsletters every now and then, and send them, inone mass mailing, to everyone who had previously requested informationfrom me. While this probably did help me win a few additional orders, itwasn’t a very good follow up method. Why isn’t the ―List Technique‖ veryeffective? The List Technique isn’t consistent. Proponents of the List Technique tend toonly send out follow up messages when their companies have ―big news‖.List Technique messages don’t give the potential customer any additionalinformation about the product or service in question. He can’t make a moreinformed buying decision after receiving a newsletter! If someoneis wondering whether your company sells the best knick-knacks, what does hecare that you’ve just moved your headquarters?List Technique messages convey a ―big list‖ mentality to your potentialcustomers. When I used to write follow up messages using the List Technique,I was writing news bulletins to everyone I knew! I should havebeen sending a personal message to each individual who wanted to knowmore about my products. What follow up method really works?Following up with each lead individually, multiple times, but at set intervals, and with pre-written messages, will dramatically increase sales! Others whouse this same technique confirm that they have all at least doubled thesales of various products! In order to set this system up, though, you need todo some planning. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 137. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonFirst, you’ll need to develop your follow up messages. If you’ve been marketingon the Internet for any length of time, then you should already have a firstinformative letter. Your second letter marks the beginning of the follow upprocess, and should go into more detail than the first letter. Fill this letter withdetails that you didn’t have the space to add to the first letter. Stress theBENEFITS of your products or services!Your next 2-3 follow up messages should be rather short. Include lists of thebenefits and potential uses of your products and services. Write each letter sothat your prospects can skim the contents, and still see the full force ofyour message. The next couple of follow up messages should create a sense of urgency inyour prospect’s mind. Make a special offer, giving him a reason to order NOWinstead of waiting any longer. After reading these follow up messages, your prospect should want to order immediately!Phrase each of your final 1 or 2 follow up messages in the form of a question.Ask your prospect why he hasn’t yet placed an order? Try to get him toactually respond. Ask if the price is to high, the product isn’t the right color ordoesn’t have the right features, or if he is looking for something else entirely.(By this time, it’s unlikely that this person will order from you. However, hisfeedback can help you modify your follow up letters or products, so thatother prospects will order from you.)The timing of your follow up letters is just as important as their content. Youdon’t want one prospect to receive a follow up the day after he gets your initialinformative letter, while another prospect waits weeks for a follow up!Always send an initial, informative letter as soon as it is requested, and sendthe first follow up 24 hours afterwards. You want your hot prospects to have information quickly, so that they canmake informed buying decisions!Send the next 2-3 follow up messages between 1 and 3 days apart. Yourprospect is still hot, and is probably still shopping around! Tell him about thebenefits of your products and services, as opposed to your competitors’. Let’s see.The breakdown of open rates by day of the week:Monday13.67%Tuesday13.21%Wednesday14.07%Thursday14.52%Friday13.25%Saturday12.09%Sunday13.26%Last month, Tuesday was actually the second-worst day to send, at least ifyou’re measuring by open rates.(While we’re breaking assumptions, I should point out this, too: the hour ofThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

You might actually reduce your open rate by doing so.In both March and February, Thursday newsletters got the 3rd-worst opens vs.the rest of the week.I hesitated a little to publish these stats, because I’m concerned that peoplemight flock to sending their newsletters at the day or time that happened toget the best results lately. Please, don’t drastically change your sending times/days just because you seethat the average last month, or any month, happened to be higher on adifferent day or time.Yes, you might eventually be able to shift your sending schedule, or split testsome broadcasts, but if you up and move everything, you may throw offsubscribers who are used to hearing from you at the usual time.―It’s So Busy, Nobody Goes There Anymore‖To get at the other reason for not shifting your sending based on these stats, let’s paraphrase Yogi Berra (see above). If everyone switches their sending schedule to send on say, Thursday, thenrecipients will start getting a ton of email that day, and start paying lessattention to each individual email. One possible reason for Thursday’s success last month may be that it wasn’t aspopular as say, Tuesday or Wednesday for sending email:The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 143. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat SuttonIf so, GREAT! Give yourself a pat on the back……but don’t get complacent. Open rates aren’t the be-all, end-all of emailmetrics. They don’t guarantee that people are reading your emails, only thatthey have images turned on and that they probably saw your email for atleast a moment.Plus, there’s always room for improvement, right? Some ideas that can help you raise your open rates:Ask people to add you to their address books. Some email programs willdisplay images from senders who are in the recipient’s contact list.If you are putting pictures in your emails, use the ALT text for those images topique readers’ interest in what the picture is, so that they enable images. We’ve been doing things the same way for solong, it is hard to imagine we could change. But anyone can change, yes I said anyone! You can create changes in your life by doing the tiniest of actions each day, like doing 5 minutes of exercise or cutting out that second piece of toast, butThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
  • 144. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Suttonthe problem is that a lot of us just don’t have the discipline or the willpower to do it and these things are so easy to do but even easier not to do.This creates a self defeating cycle which means our negative thinking leads tonot taking action, then not taking action leads to no results, and no resultsconfirms and reinforces the negative thinking. We are stopped frommaking changes even before we start. So how can we change this ―not making changes‖ spiral? The answer:Introduce the following word into our vocabulary.―YET‖―I haven’t been able to find a better source of income…yet‖.―I can’t do an exercise program…yet!‖.―I tried that and it hasn’t worked…yet‖.―I don’t have the discipline or will power…yet‖.This may sound like a small step but it opens up big possibilities. It introducesthe potential for success, which can help keep us motivated to continue trying. In the future all things can be possible. Where is it written that something isimpossible?Others have been successful, others have made these changes, why can’t we?Of-course it may take work but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done. The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 147. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton You can make your life as rich as you want!2009-10-25 20:18:58―Had I but plenty of money, money enough to spare,‖ wrote Robert Browning.Money is the greatest attribute of riches. It is a universal desire, money is the materialization of riches, the stuff thatmakes the rest possible. Are you looking for financial security? For retirement, for education orleisure?Riches are the overflowing abundance of material possessions – houses, cars, boats, furnishings -everything you ever wanted. For others, riches come in the form of satisfaction and personal independence.Centuries ago, Horace wrote, ―By right means, if you can, but by any means, make money.‖Satisfaction comes from accomplishment in employment or attaining goals. Itis that feeling of contentment and confidence from a good task well done.Riches are closely linked with success. And with that comes fame oracknowledgment of position.Success might be the feeling of well-being from the rewards of good effort. Orthe enthusiasm and vitality triggered by recognition. ―Success is how well Ienjoy the minutes,‖ said producer Norman Lear.Throughout history, the people who lived with riches often achieved them byhard work, diligence and a belief in themselves. For some people, it took courage, genius and stamina. But for many others, ittook nothing special but the desire to turn dreams into reality.Whether you want millions of dollars, recognition as an artist, or personalfreedom, you have the ability to make your life as rich as you want.Think about what you most desire. It may not be hard cash, but what it canbuy. Or it may be those feelings of inner satisfaction, from creating somethingbeautiful or strong. You may want personal independence from the work week, or freedom to liveanywhere you want. You may be looking for something meaningful and significant in life –something other than things money can buy.The Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com

  • 151. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton Don’t be too clever if you want to win customers!2009-10-25 20:15:57When I first started looking into Network Marketing I had to kiss a lot ofexpensive frogs.I feel though, that my experiences are valuable to my team and to anyone elsewho wants to listen to me who is in, or thinking about joining a NetworkMarketing business. So with that in mind I am going to write a few vitallyimportant tips that I believe will make a massive difference in the way youwork with new prospects.1. Don’t be too clever – one of the things that often went through my headwhen I was talking to prospective sponsors was…..―He sounds so much smarter than me; I’ll never be able to do that!‖If you show too much expertise then your prospect will think that it is too big amountain to climb. It is a natural instinct to doubt oneself. What your prospect wants is success and financial freedom and at this time itcan be seen as a distant dream and hearing from someone who they believehas so many more skills than they have may make that dreamtoo unbelievable.2. Do ask for a phone number on your marketing pages. Let’s face it, if theyare afraid to have a conversation with you on the telephone then how will theyhave the courage to pick up the phone to their own newprospects.3. When you call prospects, don’t sell to them; find out if they are the type ofpeople you would like to work with. Find out if they have the personality toactually make their business work. Listen to their story.4. Tell them the truth, be honest and make it clear about what will be requiredfrom them.5. It is important that you don’t make them feel that just anyone will do. If they still want to sign with you then make sure that you allow more timeto support them.8. • 154. The Blogger’s Bible – Pat Sutton Do your customers find you attractive?2009-10-25 20:12:31Does your business profile ―you‖ first or your product first?People buy from people! You should not think that showcasing your businesson a website changes the rules. If you want people to buy from you then youneed to make sure that they see you. They need to see you as an expertand as a leader. These are the principals of ―Attraction Marketing‖ it is whereyou are leading not selling. You need to give value and be of service every stepof the way to create relationships and life long, referring customers.Don’t be afraid to show your passion in your product or service. You are―magnetically attractive‖ to people when you show your passion for your work.So what do you need to do to attract people enough to make them buy fromyou:1. You need at least one great picture of yourself, but even better, pictures ofyou with your dog or family and friends. Your prospects need to relate to youas a normal happy person.2. You need to lead them to a solution for their needs, not sell to them. You dothis by example, by showing them where you were before and where you arenow. Were there any obstacles you had that hindered your ownsuccess? It is almost certain that your prospect will relate to them. You need toshow them how you overcamethose obstacles.3. ―You‖ is the magic word, for every time you talk about yourself you need totalk about what you can do for your customer. Example wording could be,―YOU‖ can change your life… ―YOU‖ will gain more income… ―YOU‖ havecome here because… I will help ―YOU‖…..4. Utilise Social Media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube. This is not the way to do it, you must ―give‖ something to ―get‖something, the same applies in everything you do whether it be online oroffline. If at first it doesn’t succeed…….change it and try again. There is nothing that is a more certain sign of insanity than to do the samething over and over and expect the results to be different…EinsteinOf-course, what ever it is that you send out don’t forget to add your bio or atleast your contact details as a footnote. You can use any of these articles on your own website as long as this credit isin place at the bottom of the article:Pat Sutton - The Web Celeb Builderhttp://www.webcelebbuilder.comhttp://www.patsutton.comThe Blogger’s Bible - Pat Sutton www.thebloggersbible.com
