    • What is a facebook page vs group
      Facebook Page:
Pages can only be created to represent a real organization, business, celebrity, or band, and may only be created by an official representative of that entity
Pages are intended to help an entity communicate publicly
Allow people to maintain a personal-professional distinction on Facebook
Pages will never display their admins' names
if you post or take other actions on a Page you own, it will appear to come from the Page.
      Facebook Group:
Groups can be created by any user and about any topic
Groups can be kept closed or secret
If you're a group admin, your name will appear on that group
When you take actions on your group, these actions will appear to come from you as an individual

    • How to Create an event in facebook
To access the Events application, use the bookmark in the Applications menu at the bottom left of the page (looks like a calendar)
If you do not see an Events bookmark in the menu, type "Events" in the search box at the top of the page and follow the link that appears

    • What is Causes?http://apps.facebook.com/causes/?m=ed6ae9f3
Causes provides the tools so that any Facebook user can leverage their network of real friends to effect positive change.
Causes was co-founded by Sean Parker and Joe Green
Causes is built and maintained by eight software engineers
The goal of the site is "equal opportunity activism: democratizing activism by empowering activists with an arsenal of tools for users of Facebook
      How does it work?
      • Any Facebook user can:
      • Create a cause
      • Recruit their friends into that cause
      • Keep everybody in the cause up-to-speed
      • Raise money directly through the cause for any U.S. registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit or Canadian registered charity.
Facebook processes the donations automatically via credit card, tally the results, and report the donation activity via a public "scorecard" in the cause.
