So What Is A Dashboard? In Information Technology, a dashboard is a user interface that, somewhat resembling an automobile's dashboard, organizes and presents information in a way that is easy to read. A computer dashboard is more likely to be interactive than an automobile dashboard (unless you have a real expensive car).

The History NPL LMD pilot/prototype started November, 2006 utilizing 3 NPLs providing requirements. NPL LMD launched at CSREES in July 2007. Subsequent releases made in January and June, 2008, and March, 2009 – each release adding more functionality and requirements. Partner LMD released to a limited audience in August 2008 and January 2009. Partner LMD released to all – March 2009.

Where We Are Going? We have plans to continue to add requirements and enhancements to the Dashboard approximately every 6-9 months. A recently purchased reporting tool will add increased functionality and usability to current existing reports. Next release of LMD will associate textual program outcomes with quantitative measures.
