Kirby Building systems (India), the Indian subsidiary of Kuwait’s largest private sector player Alghalim Industries is the industry leader with around 2500 PEBs already been erected.
Tiger Steel Engineering India Pvt ltd, is wholly owned subsidiary of Tiger Steel Engineering LLC., Sharjah (UAE) has completed 125 projects for many reputed clients like Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil, Essel group, Hindustan Lever etc.
Several other players like Zamil Building Systems, Punj Lloyd and Era Buildings Systems, an Era group company, manufacturer of RMC (Ready Mix Concrete) have also etched their presence.
Multicolor Projects (India) Ltd, a Mumbai-based company specializes in manufacture, supply and erection of (PEB) Pre-Engineered steel buildings and pre-fabricated steel buildings. MPIL has its own profile line and steel sheet value addition plant that spans over 200,000 square feet on the outskirts of Mumbai.
Sarvpriya Industries Ltd (SIL) and JINDAL MECTEC, wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Jindal group are eyeing a major share in the pre-engineered building (PEB) market. The share of Sarvpriya Industries in PEBs is around 10%-15%.
Two partnership firms, Cold Steel Corporation and Bedi Structures India, together formed ColdSteel Building Systems which already has completed more than 1700 projects till date.
Pennar Industries ltd is also a manufacturer of PEBs with four manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Interarch Buildings Products Pvt.Limited is a big name in metal building products manufacturer and integrated building solutions provider in India.

A 50:50 joint venture between Tata Steels India and Bluescope Steel of Australia.
A USD 0.27 billion, equal participation JV.
Tata BlueScope Steel Building Solutions has three manufacturing facilities located at Pune, Chennai and Bhiwadi.
Fourth facility (coated Steel Project) is in progress at Jamshedpur.

A joint venture between Ahmedabad-based Manibhai and Brothers Group of Companies (MB Group) and US-based Varco Pruden Buildings.
plans to invest USD 0.04 billion over the next one year for setting up two greenfield projects to produce complete pre-engineered buildings (PEB).
The company also plans to expand its existing unit in Sanand near Ahmedabad that was commissioned in January , 2008, which has an installed capacity of 60,000 tpa (tonnes per annum).
Targets to touch a USD 0.22 billion turnover by 2010 having a capacity of 125,000 tpa.

Reliance- Mammut Group
Mukesh Ambani-controlled Reliance Industries has signed a joint venture agreement with the Dubai-based Mammut Group to set up a $110 million facility in Gujarat to develop pre-engineered buildings, to be commissioned by the end of 2008.
The plant would have a production capacity of 120,000 tonnes a year of pre-engineered steel building.

Recent Tie-up
JSW Building Systems Ltd. enters into JV withSeverfield Reeve Structures Ltd. of UK
The JV Company will be called JSW Severfield Structures Ltd & will have 50:50 equity participation.
The project has a capacity of 35000 tonnes per annum is estimated to cost £30 million (INR 220 Crores) and would be funded through a mix of two third debt and one-third equity.
The turnover at full capacity will be over £50 million (close to INR 400 Crores).
