Course Description This introductory course will provide Microsoft Office Suite: Word processing (Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), Presentations (PowerPoint), publications (Publisher) and key boarding skills development. Students will work through modules based on the following components: File Management, Web browsing & Internet Safety, Web 2.0, Basic PC components, Introduction to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Collaborative and Research software (GoogleDocs, Sliderocket), Concept Maps, Internet Skills (blogging, wikis), Podcasting, and Videocasting. In addition, students will process through the necessary functions of the school website: log in, message sending, blogging, submitting assignments, and teacher calendars.
