  • De achtergrond van dit seminar is gelegen in de opmerking van Hennie Wesseling, oud CIO bij KPN en lid van onze raad van advies, dat SaaS outsourcing overbodig zal maken. Hij was bij een bijeenkomst geweest met Steve Ballmer en die had iets van die strekking gezegd. Omdat wij als Platform Outsourcing Nederland outsourcing willen professionaliseren en kennis willen uitwisselen, is SaaS een onderwerp dat we niet kunnen laten liggen.Wat is het doel wat je voor ogen hebt bij presentatie door MSFT? Welke rol ziet MS voor SaaS. Is SaaS een alternatief voor outsourcing? Valt de rol van de IT-leverancier weg? Gaat een klant echt minder betalen? Etc.
  • Uitleg van je rolHet is voor MSFT van belang dat we in het kader van de cloud zowel de klant als de outsourcers en partners van dienst zijn. PartnersWe ondersteunen de partners naast TAP en RDP programma vanuit consultancy met thema’s zoals innovatie, HNW, BPOS, optimalisatie van dienstverlening. Cloud en SAAS biedt hier de mogelijkheid om op flexibele manier invulling te geven aan product portfolio. KlantenWe inspireren met MSFT roadmap (toekomst besteding outsource overeenkomsten), HNW, Business Case framework, IT business alignment. Cloud propositie wordt hier steeds belangrijker in een heeft impact op de outsource modellen. Doelstelling is om waarde te creëren vanuit de contracten die klanten met MSFT hebben.Microsoft acteert steeds meer in het outsource landschap om innovatie te stimuleren.   • Factors That Influence the ITO Client Experience FactorGartner survey is conductedover 821 ITO customers done in 8 countries in North America, Asia and Western Europe.Client experience as the combination of customer satisfaction, likelihood of rehire and recommendation/referral for an ITO provider.ITO providers are all aggressively seeking to build market share, and they are measuring and monitoring client satisfaction, and most report improving client satisfaction; yet Gartner hears a very mixed message on the client experience from current outsourcing clients, and findings do not map to the improving measures that providers report.Goal is to help to help ITO providers prioritize their investments in those areas of their business that will have the most impact in driving client satisfaction, increasing the likelihood of repeat business, and improving client referrals.There are direct en indirect influence factors. Platform as a Service, or PaaS, is where you pay for a platform that includes an operating system and application stack. PaaS is inclusive of IaaS. An example of PaaS is Windows Azure.Software as a Service, or SaaS, is where you pay to use an application. SaaS is inclusive of both PaaS and IaaS. An example of SaaS is Microsoft Exchange Online.

Think about email, content management, databases.Software in the future will be combination of enterprise software services, partner solutions and service cloudS+S gives more flexibility in developing, migrating, operating and managing systemen which are federated between the enterprise datacenter and the cloud.3. For the developer: And lastly, tightly coupled system should give way to federations of cooperating systems and loosely coupled compositions. With the right transparency, standards and interoperability, these small pieces of code loosely joined help developers build new applications and services out of base components—enabling agile and cost-effective development.

Het gaat om functionaliteit over drie schermen…..waarbij verschillende keuze mogelijkheden zijnOutsource partner streven naar operationele excellence. BPOS kan dit ondersteunen en daarnaast service naar klanten te verbeteren door automatisch inbedding van technologie innovatie.
  • For the Standard offering, we will be providing a new user experience. Today, we have four different portals depending on the usage needs. In H2 2010, we will be consolidating the subscription, administration and end user portal into one. We will have role based access capabilities that will only allow users to access and see the features that they have rights too. Another significant improvement tied to the previous slide is we will be removing the need to have a sign-in client for users of ADFS or non-ADFS. End users will be able to managed their Online password (non-ADFS users) directly with the portal. To ensure end users working with Office clients to have best possible experience. We will be provide customer a service connector that automatically updates the PC with the correct patches to ensure Office works well with Online. This is only required when working with Office clients.   • We update that service every 6-8 weeks. We started doing this in June 2009 and some of the major updates include POP3, Outlook 2003 support and improve Mac support. Details of these feature updates can be found on our TechNet Blog. http://blogs.technet.com/msonline/In the next 90 days, we plan make additional updates to our service. The key capabilities include increasing mailbox storage to 25GB, increase SharePoint Site collection limit and improve domain management. We will continue to expand our markets and languages supported. As part of our improved Blackberry device support improvements, we plan to provide a web portal to customer administrator to manage some admin functions of their Blackberry devices without having to submit a support request. Our next major updates is scheduled for H2 2010 when we will update our services based on the next generation of our Exchange, SharePoint and Office Communications Servers.

Saas is daar 1 vanEn vanuit de software vendors is er een continue technologische push. Stelling is dat Outsourcing complexer wordt de toename van keuze van delivery modellen.Nieuwe delivery modellen via de cloud vereenvoudigen Complexiteit van regie organisatie van de klant zal toenemen. Kosten van de service kunnen wellicht omlaag maar de kosten van de regie gaat omhoog zoals ICT outsourcing niet gelijk is aan water uit de kraan?Beloning structuren komen wellicht onder druk…bijvpay per use (azure), per per users (BPOS) en in relatie tot Outsourcers zouden klanten belonend moeten worden voor standarisatieipv korting.
  • SAAS is misschien wel gelijk aan water uit de kraan. Natuurlijk willen wij van MSFT dat klanten een MSFT tenzij beleid voeren en direct meegaan met alle onze innovaties. Feit is dat large Enterprises een complexe en diverse ICT omgeving hebben en vaak net zulke complexe governance, processes, ICT (desktop, identity management, collaboratie platformen) en financieren modellen hebben. Onze propositie geeft ruimte aan partner en outsourcers om hun portfolio hierop aan te passenOutsourcer:Hoe integreren we innovatie in desktop contractOmgaan met kansen die de cloud bied? Transparatie neemt toe door de cloud…. Verschil tussen prijs van HP en MSFT – niet alleen als reseller van BPOS maar waarde creatieOndersteun klanten in de keuzen die gemaakt worden en de regie tussen verschillende componenten.
