  i m a gandhian at heart....i usually quote him...recently at AA meeting lecture i quoted this one
  'Brothers! Stay away from alcohol as you would from poison...actually it is worse tham poison...poison kills the body but alcohol kills both the body n the soul'
  
  gandhi will never stop inspiring....he is one of the self-actuallized personality we psychiatrists give an example of...meaning to be able to attain ones maximum potential in life.

  By the way, one should and cannot forget the contribution made by Mahatma Gandhi in our country’s Independence. You may have your own view point, I still feel.... it’s a lot difficult to be like him...as the way this ’Mahatma’ acted and we are just ’commenting’. I have always felt that all the critics are nothing but “stand up” comedians and if you believe in your talks, please act 1% of him and then you will know of the hardships he went through.
  
  “Interpretation” of any of his quote is to our liking is our own personal prerogative and you are free right to use your imagination to your personal version.
  
  All said and done, he was a human like you and me and may have committed “errors” which I would never ever count or criticize. For me “Gandhi ji” was, “Gandhi ji” is and “Gandhi ji” will be “The Father of our Nation” who was never a failure.
