“Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in which applications are hosted by a vendor or service provider and made available to customers over a network, typically the Internet.” In Layman’s Language, SaaS is a new model of how software is delivered. SaaS refers to software that is accessed via a web browser and is paid on a subscription basis (monthly or yearly). • 11. A Case Study on How Accenture helped Ashoka achieve
high performance with Software as a service (SaaS) sales solution
Key Challenge - To manage the vast social network which was affected due to fragmentation and inconsistency in their CRM Technologies.Main objective - To create a global, digital platform that would capture essential information and automate core business processes to realize efficiencies and promote integration with the Salesforce CRM system.Role of Accenture - A strategic advice and technical project management support from Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP) which is group within Accenture designed to operate on a nonprofit basis. Accenture supported a successful implementation of Salesforce CRM solution by advising Ashoka on its change management and deployment strategies. Benefits to Ashoka - IT cost were reduced as there were no requirements to purchase any server or installation of software on machines to run Ashoka’s SaaS-based sales solution. Now Ashoka’s staff can track events, manage a larger set of contact information, search for and share information, and send mass communications. It also helps Ashoka to provide an up-to-date snapshot and history of their interactions and processes.
