  • IINTRODUCTION • ANDROID MEANS IN Rubin's words "smarter mobile devices that are more aware of its owner's location and preferences" • On linux based operating system • Android, Inc. was founded in Palo Alto, California in October 2003 bought by GOOGLE In 2005 • The Open Handset Alliance (OHA) in 2007 •Android is open source and Google releases the code under the Apache license • FIRST PRODUCT CALLED HTC DREAM
