Geography! <ul><li>Total Area- 3,286,488 miles square </li></ul><ul><li>Land Area- 3,265,077 miles square </li></ul><ul><li>Location- east- South America </li></ul><ul><li>Neighbors- North: French Guiana, Suriname, Guyana. </li></ul><ul><li>West: Columbia, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay. </li></ul><ul><li>South: Argentina, and Uruguay. </li></ul>Back

Belo Horizonte 5,575,000 </li></ul><ul><li>Climate- tropical or semi- tropical. Tropical is nice and worm. Sometimes damp and it is very humid </li></ul><ul><li>Semi-tropical is almost the same, but sometimes cooler and more damp </li></ul>Back

Geography 3! <ul><li>Atlantic Coastline= 4,603 miles </li></ul><ul><li>Rains almost all year round on the coastline and the temperature is about 25 degrees Celsius. </li></ul><ul><li>North Basin Amazon= ½ of the country. </li></ul><ul><li>Navigated rivers= 15,814 miles, Amazon River measures 2,093 miles by itself. </li></ul><ul><li>North East is a scrub land </li></ul><ul><li>A scrub land in poor and heavily settled </li></ul>Back

Geography 4! <ul><li>South- ½ of the population lives here, 75% of farm goods and 80% of industrial output is produced here. </li></ul><ul><li>Brazil’s highlands and plateaus average about less than 4000 feet </li></ul><ul><li>Brazil’s highest point is the Peco de Neblina. </li></ul><ul><li>Peco de Neblina is 9888 feet </li></ul>Back

People 3! <ul><li>He was called Dico by his family and PelZ by his fans </li></ul><ul><li>He was a shoe shiner as a boy </li></ul><ul><li>When he was 11, a Brazilian premier players </li></ul><ul><li>4 years later the Brazilian premier took him to the directors </li></ul><ul><li>He told the directors “ This boy will be the greatest soccer player ever ” </li></ul>Back

People 4 ! <ul><li>By the next season Pele was the top scorer in his league </li></ul><ul><li>Pele was known to stop war and such </li></ul><ul><li>Pele had a long, successful soccer career </li></ul><ul><li>In his entire career, he scored 1,200 goals </li></ul><ul><li>Pele died on October 23, 1940 </li></ul><ul><li>He is still remembered to this day as one of Brazil’s greatest soccer players! </li></ul>Back

Catholic!: <ul><li>Holidays- Easter, Advent, and Lent </li></ul><ul><li>The Catholics believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. </li></ul><ul><li>They believe that only people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ go to heaven. </li></ul><ul><li>The sinners who have not asked forgiveness for their sins don’t go to heaven. </li></ul><ul><li>They believe in the bible. </li></ul>Back

Protestant! <ul><li>Protestants believe in 3 main customs: </li></ul><ul><li>Supremacy of the Bible </li></ul><ul><li>Justification by faith alone </li></ul><ul><li>Universal Priesthood of Believers. </li></ul><ul><li>They also believe in God and Jesus </li></ul><ul><li>The difference of Protestant and Catholic is that Protestants organization is very different . </li></ul>Back
  17. 18. Brazilian Money! <ul><li>Brazil’s money is called “ real”. </li></ul><ul><li>Real is pronounced “/rei’a:l/”. </li></ul><ul><li>1 Brazil real = 0.560024 U.S. dollars. </li></ul><ul><li>This is the main currency of Brazil </li></ul><ul><li>Its sign is R$ </li></ul>Back
  18. 19. Major disasters of Brazil! <ul><li>They made a dam on the Amazon River. Then the dam failed. Because the dam failed, it triggered a huge black out in the surrounding places. </li></ul><ul><li>Brazil gets a lot of rain sometimes. This year they got a huge flood from rain. This flood killed 100 people instantly. </li></ul>back

Brazil’s Flag! <ul><li>The stars on the flag represent constellations on the Southern Hemisphere. </li></ul><ul><li>Across the blue circle it says Brazil’s modo” Ordem e Progesseo” which means “ Order and Progress” </li></ul><ul><li>It was adopted on November 15 of 1889 </li></ul><ul><li>Marechal Deodora da Fonseca was the person that made the adoption official </li></ul>Back

Brazil’s Most Popular Sport! <ul><li>Brazil’s most popular sport is football. </li></ul><ul><li>Brazil’s football is our soccer, so according to us their main sport is soccer, not football. </li></ul><ul><li>Soccer is in the blood of the Brazilians. </li></ul><ul><li>Brazil’s climate is perfect for playing soccer </li></ul><ul><li>It is the only country to participate in all of the “Football World Cups” to this day. </li></ul>back

Economy! <ul><li>Brazil is blessed with many abundant natural resources. </li></ul><ul><li>Some of their resources are: mining, agriculture, and manufacturing. </li></ul><ul><li>Brazil is the most powerful country in all of South America </li></ul><ul><li>From 2001 to 2002 Brazil’s economy grew 2.2%. </li></ul>Back
