  3. Why complete the CL Manual? Veterans New Members
    • Comes with the New Member kit – FREE!
    • Learn the leadership roles in the meeting quickly and completely.
    • Understand valuable skills beyond giving speeches.
    • Set an example for newer members.
    • Refine your skills as a leader by understanding how to apply them in club meetings.
    • No DTMs will be awarded after 2008 without the new CL.

  7. Not all tasks are required!
    • Most projects do not require all tasks to be completed. Examples:
    • See Handout: Toastmaster New CL Projects
  8. Using the Manual
    • When you complete a task:
    • Ask a fellow member to evaluate your performance in the manual.
    • Circle the task performed on the project matrix.
    • When you complete a project:
    • Dog-ear or mark the page.
    • Ask the VP Education to sign the back of the manual.
    Tracking your progress is YOUR responsibility!
