  • 2. Gynecologist
    Gynecology and Obstetrics are the two disciplines which treat women. (OB/GYN)
    An obstetrician is a doctor specializing in women during pregnancy, childbirth and right after childbirth.
    A gynecologist is a physician who studies the female reproductive system.
  • 3. Gestation
    • Gestation is the normal amount of time for a pregnancy, which is about 40 weeks.
    • 4. During this time the baby grows and develops in the mothers uterus.
    • 5. babies who are born before 37 weeks of gestation is considered premature.

  • 6. Uterus
    The organ in which the developing fetus is called the uterus.
    The uterus (aka womb) is a hollow, pear-shaped organ located in a woman's lower abdomen. It lays between the bladder and the rectum. The narrow, lower portion of the uterus is the cervix and the broader, upper part is the corpus.
