The publishing CMS challenge • Publishers need a platform approach across highly diverse portfolios – title by title solutions are not cost effective • Media sites are design driven, infinitely variable • So control and flexibility is required by editors and not filtered by the web team • And buy-in from the journalists and editors is important, especially those coming from print backgrounds • Nevertheless speed and cost of roll out and maintenance are key factors • An open approach is demanded, no one wants to be locked in
