  • 2. Technology Use <ul><li>Things that are being used in a classroom that do not interact with students </li></ul><ul><li>It is a show that is being put on only by the teacher </li></ul>
  • 3. Examples of Technology Use <ul><li>An overhead projector </li></ul><ul><li>A cd player </li></ul><ul><li>Showing students a website on the computer </li></ul>
  • 4. Technology Integration <ul><li>Teachers effectively use technology with their students in the classroom to help instruct all subjects </li></ul><ul><li>Allows students to become more active in learning </li></ul><ul><li>Keeps growing… there are more things being added to the classroom each year. </li></ul>
  • 5. Examples of Technology Integration <ul><li>Interactive Whiteboards </li></ul><ul><li>Blogging </li></ul><ul><li>Wikis </li></ul><ul><li>Podcasting </li></ul><ul><li>Chatting Software </li></ul>
  • 6. A difference? <ul><li>There is a difference between use and integration, but I think it is up to the teacher to determine which one they use in their classroom. </li></ul><ul><li>If you want the students to become involved and interested, INTEGRATION is what teachers need to do in their classroom </li></ul>
  • 7. Technology Integration in the Classroom <ul><li>Interactive Whiteboard: can be used as a regular whiteboard, but it is much more interactive with the students… they are able to go up and draw and play on it with the computer </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Very easy for the teacher to use </li></ul></ul>
  • 8. Summary… <ul><li>At the end of the day, it depends on the teacher and how much they want to integrate technology </li></ul><ul><li>It takes a lot of time and effort to get yourself acquainted with all the new technology, but I think it is all worth it because it will enhance my student’s learning so much </li></ul>
