  7. 7. Program Objectives <ul><li>English </li></ul><ul><li>At the end of the two-year program, participants will have acquired a level of English equivalent to A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. </li></ul>

Program Objectives <ul><li>Internet </li></ul><ul><ul><li>At the end of the two-year program, participants will be familiar with the use of Internet for retrieving and creating content   </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Social/Integration </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Students will participate in two types of activities: </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>A community service project (twice per year) coordinated with an NGO of the area, for example, an organization working with the elderly, or with children  </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Enhancement activities (at least two per year) will include, for example, organizing a 4th of July celebration, preparing a presentation on Thanksgiving, and similar projects </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

Target Audience <ul><li>Five groups of 20 students each in Montevideo </li></ul><ul><li>Three groups of 20 students each in: Bella Unión, Melo and Tala. </li></ul><ul><li>Currently totalling 160 students </li></ul><ul><li>Our students are enrolled in public high schools or vocational schools. </li></ul><ul><li>They are non-elite youth who nevertheless do have a minimally adequate socio-academic support structure that would allow them to be successful in this endeavor. </li></ul>
