Research into mobile phone usage

Research into mobile phone usage
Proportionof online adults who use social networking sites:
66% in 2014
72% in 2015
which results in a 6% increase from 2014 to 2015
Proportionof people who use their mobile handset to access the
internet:
57% in 2014
61% in 2015
which results in a 4% increase from 2014 to 2015
This graph is
showing evidence that
people use their mobile
phones in the work place
more than they do in
schools.
Statistics show that
mobile phones are used
mostly in stores,which
could be when they are
buying phones and trying
them out. For example; in
the apple store.
The place phones
are used the least is in the
library; schools,college,
touchwood etc.
One huge problem is
that a massive 74% of
people use their phones in
the car. This causes
crashes and accidents and
this also states they do it
while on the move which
they shouldn’t be doing.

One British child in four between the ages of five and 16 now
has a mobile phone.
The study's author, Dr Hisao Ishii, said: 'Teenagers can be
seen taking advantage of every spare minute to touch base
with their friends.
'It is not the content of the communication but the act of
staying in touch that matters.
'The mobile now oftensubstitutes for physical play,'
Speaking on the phone and sending lots of text messages
will give children many more acquaintances but fewer
friends. They are replacing quality with quantity.'
Making a call is now the sixth most commonuse for a mobile
phone
Texts, emails and the alarm clockare more popular than
calls, study shows
Four in 10 smartphone users say they could manage without
call function
The average personuses their mobile for an hour and 52
minutes a day
Survey says around 20 minutes of this is spent making three
phone calls
Sending and receiving text messages, reading emails,
browsing the internet and using the phone’s alarm clock
have all overtaken actual conversation.
In fact, almost four in ten smartphone users believe they
would manage without a call function on their handset at all.
