  • 1. How did youattract/addressyour audience?
  • 2. As our film is a psychological horrorfilm with an age range, it has a nicheaudience. To attract our nicheaudience we used conventions thatthey would expect to see:• A protagonist and an antagonist.• Lots of black, especially presentthrough the antagonist’s clothing.• Blood, seen around theantagonist’s mouth.• Jump cuts, which are a verycommon editing technique inhorror films.
  • 3. • Dimmer Lighting – the lack of sun canbe pathetic fallacy showing theaudience that something bad is goingto happen through the setting.• Isolated woodland setting shows theaudience that there is no escape for theprotagonist and no one is around tohelp her.• Stereotypical non-human antagonist. Our antagonist is a zombie.• Red font on a black background as theycontrast each other well and arecommon colours in horror films.• Stereotypical themes of fear, serialkilling, isolation, murder and death.
  • 4. • Another way in which we attracted our audience isthe protagonist and antagonist are both teenagefemale.• This would attract the stereotypical male dominatedaudience that watched psychological horror films as itwould interest them and they would want to see howa film genre that they like is presented through afemale dominated film.• It will also bring in more females to watch the film as itis refreshing to see a female protagonist andantagonist that has the power instead of thestereotypical male characters
