(Red LED will be lit.) 2 PLAY/PAUSE button Press it to start/pause the playback. 3 STOP button Press it to stop the playback. 4 MUTE button Press it to mute the audio. 5 Volume -/+ button In the mode menu state, they are used as left and right button. If not, they are used as volume control button. 6 PREVIOUS button Press it to locate at the previous track or chapter when playing DVD, iPod, USB or Memory Card. In the menu state it is DOWN button. 7 NEXT button Press it to locate at the next track or chapter when playing DVD, iPod, USB or Memory Card. In the menu state it is UP button. 8 MODE button Press it to pop out the playing modes selecting menu: DVD, iPod, USB, Bluetooth, Memory Card, FM radio, AU1, AU2. The icon of media which is playing will be green around the frame and there there will be a orange cursor at the bottom of icon to flash when you move to the icon.   9. 9. Key Description of Remote Control 1 ON/OFF Press this button to turn on/ turn off the player. 2 MUTE Audio mute ON/OFF. 3 MODE Press it to pop out the playing mode menu: DVD. iPod. USB. Bluetooth, Memory Card, FM radio, AU1,AU2. Then use left/right button to choose the mode and press OK to enter. 4 MENU press this button to pop out the main menu of the playing media. 5 SETUP Press it to bring forth the main setup menu. 6 RETURN Press it to return to the last step operation. 7 VOL+ Volume up. In the menu state it is RIGHT button. 8 VOL- Volume down. In the menu state it is LEFT button. 9 OK Enter the selected item. 10 CURSOR buttons Use these buttons to move the cursor up, down, left and right when selecting the setting items. 11 It is fast backward key when playing DVD, USB or Memory Card. (Invalid in iPod mode) 12 It is fast forward key when playing DVD, USB or Memory Card. (Invalid in iPod mode) 13 Play or pause the playback when playing DVD, iPod, USB or Memory Card.In the menu state it is UP button. 14 Jump to the PREVIOUS track or chapter when playing DVD , iPod, USB or Memory Card. 15 Jump to the NEXT track or chapter when playing DVD , iPod, USB or Memory Card. 16 Press this button to stop the playback, of DVD, iPod, USB or Memory Card. 17 NUMBER buttons Press these buttons to input numbers. (Invalid in iPod mode) 18 REPEAT button Press this button to repeat the playback. (Invalid in iPod mode) 19 SLEEP Press this button to select the time (30min/ 60min/ 90min/ 120min/ OFF) for timer. The unit will be off automatically. 20 FM SCAN In the FM radio state press it to scan the FM radio program.(Invalid in other mode.) 21 A-B Press this button during the playback of DVD, USB, Memory Card to set two points and play the section between them repeatly. (Invalid in other mode.) 24 AUDIO Press it to switch the audio language during the playback of DVD.(Invalid in USB /Memor y Card mode.) 25 SEARCH Locate a title/ chapter/ time to play, during the playback of USB or Memor y Card.(Invalid in other mode.) 26 TITLE , press it to display the DVD S title. (Invalid in other mode.) 27 MY MUSIC It is the shortcut key for the iPod MUSIC playback. 28 MY VIDEO It is the shortcut key for the iPod VIDEO playback and it is only useful for the iPod with video. 29 MY PHOTO It is the shortcut key for the iPod PHOTO playback. 30 ON It is the shortcut key for entering bluethooth mode. Remote Control Information Notes on using the remote control unit Do not drop or step on the remote control unit or subject it to shocks. Note that the remote control unit may not work if there are obstacles between it and the remote sensor. Do not expose the remote sensor to strong light. Doing so may make operation impossible. Use the remote control unit within the specified operating range. Note: To prevent leakage of fluid from the lithium battery, remove the battery when not using the remote control unit for long periods of time (one month or more). If the battery leaks fluid, carefully wipe it out of the battery case, then change to a new lithium battery. Caution: The battery may present a risk of fire if mistreated. Do not recharge ,disassemble, heat it above 100 C . 0 Replace battery with the same type. Dispose of used battery properly, keep away from children and do not dispose it in fire. Disc operation 1 Press the open button on the right side of main unit to open the DVD player cover. 2 Place in a disc and press it down with your fingers near the canter hole (Attention: Do not touch the lens). A click is heard. 3 The playing mode menu will pop out on the screen and the cursor stops on the DVD icon. Press OK button to begin playing DVD disc. Notes: Set the disc securely. Failure to set it securely could result in damage. Do not use cracked or warped discs. Doing so could result in damage. Place single-sided DVDs or CDs in with the label (Printed) side facing upwards. For double-sided DVDs, check each side carefully, then place the disc in securely (Until a click is heard). For CDs or one-sided DVDs, you do not have to worry about touching the label (Printed) side of the disc with your fingers. Since two-sided DVDs have signals recorded on both sides, be careful not to scratch them when removing them from the player. Playback 1 Turn on the power of player. 2 Open the disc correctly. 3 Insert a disc correctly. 4 Close the cover. 5 Press the standby button to turn on the unit and it will pop out the mode menu. DVD mode has been chosen by the unit itself and press OK button to confirm, the unit will load the disc and play automatically. If not, please press the button. MODE MENU Pause playback 1 Press on the main unit board or on the remote OK control during playback. 2 Press again to resume normal playback. A-B/REPEAT playback 1 A-B playback When pressing A-B button on the remote control during playback, the current point would be located on the remote control, and“ REPEAT A-” appears on the screen. Press A-B button again, B point would be located and REPEAT A-B shown on the screen the player would play from A point to B point repeatedly. Press A-B button again. A-B playback would be cancelled and A-B CANCEL shown on the screen, then the player resume normal playback. Repeat a Title, Chapter or Track. 2 Press REPEAT button on the remote control during playback. The chapter or the title(for DVD) and the MO DE MENU track or entire disc (for CD) will be played repeatedly. The REPEAT mode will be changed OK each time when the repeat button is pressed. In order to play MP3 files, move the cursor to MP3 ICON and press OK button to enter the Mp3 file. The move the cursor to choose the desired file and press OK to play. In order to play JPEG files, move the cursor to JPEG ICON and press OK button. Press STOP or RETURN button to go back to the main menu. Press A-B button to get A-B REPEAT function. Press REPEAT button to switch repeat mode(REP1,REP DIR REP ALL, REP OFF). REP1 means repeating the track; REP DIR means repeating the folder; REP ALL means repeating the whole disc. Note: when you view the JPEG pictures you can use the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT arrows to rotate or flip the pictures. Playing the DivX files Your player is an official DivX Certified product that plays DivX.5, DivX.4, DivX.3, and DivX.VOD video content in compliance with DivX Certified technical requirements. Note: To guarantee playback of DivX files the audio must be MP3 format. DivX Certified devices can play any interleaved MP3 audio at any bitrate, both CBR and VBR. The audio must be sampled at standard frequencies, such as 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, and 48 kHz, and must conform to the AVI file specification. Apart from MP3, the audio formats recognized by your player are MPEG layer 1 / 2 , AC3, PCM. Formats such as AAC and Ogg Vorbis are not supported by this player. 1 Open the compartment by sliding the OPEN button to the right. 2 Place the disc with the printed side facing up and close the compartment. 3 A menu appears on the screen. Select a folder using the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote control, then press OK to open the folder s contents. 4 Select a file using the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote control.   16. 16. SYSTEM SETUP The system setup options are illustrated below: TV SYSTEM AUTO: Choose this setting if your player is connected to a multi-system TV. NTSC: Choose this setting if your player is connected to a NTSC TV. PAL: Choose this setting if your player is connected to a PAL TV. The default setting is AUTO. SYSTEM SETUP TV SYSTEM NTSC VIDEO OUT PAL TV TYPE AUTO PASSWORD RATING DEFAULT EXIT SETUP Note: Setting with incorrect TV system will result in black and white picture on your TV screen. VIDEO OUT The video signal can only be output to other device by the SCART port. You can choose the CVBS or RGB according to your connected device. The defunlt setting is RGB.   17. 17. TV TYPE 4 : 3 PS (Pan & Scan): Choose this setting if your player is connected to a normal ratio TV. You can fill the movie to the entire screen of your TV. This might mean that parts of the picture (the left and right edges) wont be seen. 4 : 3 LB (Letter Box): Choose this setting if your player is connected to a normal ratio TV. Youll see the movie in their original aspect ratio (height-to-width ratio). Youll see the entire frame of the movie. The movie might appear with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. 16 : 9 (Wide Screen): Choose this setting if your player is connected to a wide screen TV. If you choose this setting and you dont have a wide screen TV, the images on the screen may appear distorted due to vertical compression. Step2: Once parental control is unlocked, go to rating menu and assign rating. Step3: Enter new password of your choose in 4 digit number to lock player rating. If you forget your assigned password, you can use 0000 to unlock the rating again.   18. 18. RATING The rating feature works with DVD discs that have been assigned a rating. This helps you to control the types of DVDs that the player can be watched. There are eight limited rating options: KID SAFE, G, PG, PG13, PG-R, R, NC-17,ADULT. The default setting is ADULT.   19. 19. L ANGUAGE SETUP The language setup options are illustrated below: OSD LANGUAGE Highlight the OSD LANGUAGE option, and press the arrow buttons to choose the OSD language you prefer. Press ENTER to confirm, and it will display OSD in that language. There are 5 optional OSD languages: English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. LANGUAGE SETUP OSD LANGUAGE ENGLISH AUDIO LANG GERMAN SUBTITLE LANG SPANISH MENU LANG FRENCH ITALIAN EXIT SETUP AUDIO LANG Highlight the AUDIO LANG .option, and press the arrow buttons to choose the audio language you prefer. Press ENTER to confirm. If the disc you are playing has that language available, it will output audio in that language. There are 7 optional audio languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German. If the disc you are playing has that language available, it will display subtitles in that language. There are 7 optional subtitle languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. Press ENTER to confirm. If the disc you are playing has that language available, it will display menu in that language. There are 8 optional menu languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian. If your preferred language isnt available, the discs default language will be played. The default language of your DVD player is English. There are 3 optional audio output modes: SPDIF /OFF, SPDIF /RAW and SPDIF /PCM. SPDIF /OFF: Choose this setting to output analog signal, and there will be no signal is outputted from optical jack. USB AND CARD-READER OPERATION The following are the instructions of the USB operation 1 Plug the USB into the USB jack. 2 Press the "MODE" button to pop out the mode menu and choose the USB mode then press OK button to confirm.
