Moreover, Microsoft provides a variety of products and services and it has expanded into markets such as video game consoles, interactive television, and Internet access. In these days, people need it to survive in the business world because software is important sources for the business fields. The share outstanding of this company is 10,712,706,000 and its market value is $292,992,509,100. That is another reason I choose this company because the market value is real high. Moreover, the stock price was reaching its 52 week high price, $30.20. According to Internet resources, Microsoft is trying to improve their products and to satisfy the customers. The company constantly upgrades software so the customers, whoever users of Microsoft software, need to upgrade and it attracts to the customers. The company introduces Microsoft Works Suite 2006 which is enhanced and upgraded software for the customers. I think it is the strategy what Microsoft is using to get customers’ attention. My stock increased to $27.05 which is almost $3 from the start price. Nike, Inc. (Symbol: NKE) The reason I choose Nike’s stock is because Nike is the largest sports company in the world. Moreover, this company provides the comfort of products in which people can use and wear to enjoy the sports. Another reason I choose this company is that Nike

Net income grew 32 percent to $432.3 million, or $1.61 per diluted share, compared to $326.8 million, or $1.21 per diluted share, for the prior year. Moreover, Reebok, another major sports company in the world, revenue declined among retailers about the company's planned $3.8 billion sale to Adidas-Salomon AG. Therefore, I decided to keep Nike’s stock for a while. At last, I made more money because my final stock price was higher than my start stock price.
  • 4. Yahoo! Inc. (Symbol: YHOO) I choose this company because Yahoo is one of the biggest website searching engine company in the world. Yahoo provides a lot of things to help people to enjoy searching the information and the news of world. It consists of news around the world, e- mail, messenger, and anything you are interested of. Of course, other companies like Google and AOL have searching engine and provide e-mail and messenger. However, Yahoo is worldwide company that almost all Asian countries have Yahoo website. That is when I got the news about Yahoo’s revenue went up as 42%

McDonald’s Corporation (Symbol: MCD) Sold on October 25th McDonald’s is one of the famous and the biggest fast food company in the world. It is worldwide company and everyone loves it. All countries except the countries where the war is on have McDonald’s food stores. Other countries even have their own taste hamburgers. Those are the reason I choose this company to buy the stock. • 6. However, I decided to sell the stock because the stock price was always up and down. Moreover, according to article, McDonald’s shares dropped as 3.8% and its profit also dropped to $735.4 million. According to another article “McDonald's To Put Calorie And Fat Data On Its Packaging”, McDonald’s decided to put calorie and fat data on its packaging. As you know, McDonald’s is fast food company in which they mostly sell hamburgers, cookies, and sodas that are not good for people. These days, people start concerning about their health problems. Therefore, I thought it would affect the company’s profit. That is why the stock price went down recently, but mostly a lot on October 27th. I sold the stock of McDonald’s and bought the ConAgra Food’s stock. ConAgra Foods, Inc. (Symbol: CAG) Bought on October 25th I sold the stock of McDonald’s and bought the stock of ConAgra Foods because ConAgra Foods is the company that sells healthy foods contained a lot of good ingredients. That is the reason I bought this company’s stock. Another reason I choose this stock is that because I have researched this company’s annual report before. Unfortunately, my hope was ruined because the stock price was lower than when I bought it. I guess I should have sold it when I had a chance. Tiffany & Co. (Symbol: TIF) Sold on November 1st The reason I choose Tiffany & Co. to investigate is because this company’s stock price keeps increasing. I think this company has a potential that might help me increasing the money. Moreover, according to articles “Tiffany to Open Store in Tucson, Arizona”

I thought the stock price of Tiffany would go down because Tiffany’s products are expensive for the most people and the economy of U.S. Moreover, war on Iraq and damage of hurricanes Katrina and Rita might affect people’s budgets. However, unfortunately, the stock price did not go down as I predicted. It still keeps going up. I guess people still buy expensive jewelries even though the economy is not very good. I lost money on selling this stock.
