      • an International Real Estate Investment House
      • and a secondary Stock Exchange in Israel [Prucaccia Committee]

    • One Stock Exchange (Bursa) in Israel - Tel Aviv Bursa .

    • Was established at 1953 .
    • Since 1935 - trading in securities was existed in Israel via the Chamber of Securities Exchange.
    • In 1968 the Bursa activity was powered by Law and the Israeli Security Authority was established [ISA] .
    • ISA role - supervise the Bursa.
    • 1983 – Banks stocks’ Crises - 4 of the biggest banks has been collapsed.
    • 1999 – the Bursa was computerized .
    • 2005 – Market makers started working in the Bursa under its supervision.
    • Hot News:
      • The ISA Committee recommended to allow the Bursa become a profitable organ and to go public .
  • 11. Market Making
    • Market making services is:
      • New field in Israel - since May 2005
      • It entered following some researches that has been made regarding the European and the USA markets.
    • The purpose is
      • Liquidity to the securities (shares or bonds);
      • Enlarge its trading volumes - by giving a sense of security to the investors, and assure them that at any single time they will be able to purchase or sell any amount of the security at the stock exchange.
  • 12. Market Makers help the security rate increase in bull market and support the security rate when decrease (in bear market)

    • Since May 2006 this field has been accelerating –
      • within 2 years, 400 securities are being handled by market makers.
    • In Israel the Public company is hiring the Market Maker and the transaction is usually made of 2 agreements – one is regarding the monthly retainer (range between 400 up to 1000US$) and the second is a lending manuscript .
    • The direct result
      • Increase of hundreds and thousands of percents in the trading volume level of the stocks;
      • Helps the securities enter a higher index;
      • Indirectly helps increase the company value .
  • 14. International Aspect
    • The importance of this service in an International Aspect - is its being an important tool which assists to attract foreign investors to invest in the Israeli securities at the Israeli stock market
    • In other words –
      • The services’ contribution in raising the securities trading volume
      • And therefore raising the attractiveness of the security,
      • and the aspiration to reach a higher trading volume levels that are close to the acceptable trading volume levels at a European or other foreign markets ;
    • That is what emphasizes the market maker services as an important tool to attract foreign investors to the Israeli stock market.

    • on The 1 st Q. 2008 was 400 million Euro relatively to 255 million Euro on the 1 st Q. 2006 –
    • An increase of over 50%
    • of the total trading volume!

Contribution of the Medical Israeli technology to the global science Israel is a small country but its scientists contribution in the area of genetics, medicine, computer science, electronic and other high tech industries is significant . Since the early 1990 technology has become the hallmark of Israelis economic leadership, today the percentage of Israelis engaged in scientific and technological investigation and the amount spent on research and development in relation to its GDP (gross domestic product) are among the highest in the world.
