    3. DIRECTOR: Jadranka Srdoč PERFORMING: B-class pupils, 2nd year high school Marko Marulić Secondary School, Slatina, Croatia
    4. The project
      • The scene performance exhibits the life and manners of antique deities to remind us about or rediscover this indispensable part of our civilisation’s heritage and the universality of human situations .
    5. THE PROJECT’S PURPOSE AND AIMS
      • The final product (the performance) is equally important as the making of it .
      • The project included EVERY B-class 2nd year pupil regardless of their abilities, talents or incentive.
      • The ultimate goal was to provide the pupils with a feeling of success for their accomplishment. They succeeded because of their hard work and endeavour, which are opposite to some other features young people usually apply to prove themselves .
    6. The project’s aims
      • To show that, even in our passive surrounding s , it is possible to make something creative and original through investing our own effort. If we succeed, we may inspire others as well .
    7. To develop the following competences among the pupils and other project associates :
      • co-operative learning or teamwork
      • communication and social skills (getting rid of the fear of public appearance, raising self-esteem and developing self-consciousness )
      • enterprise (we do not ask what others can do for us, but what we can do for ourselves )
    8. THE PROJECT’S AIMS
      • To establish co-operation between pupils, school staff, parents, the structures of local community and other interested individuals .

      • The rehearsals continued in form-master’s classes
      • A meeting with pupil’s parents was held and a reading rehearsal was put on (the parents backed the project)
