    • QUESTION:Discuss your idea on an ideal teacher. Your discussion should focus on knowledge, skills and personal qualities / attitudes.

      Definition:Onewho teaches or instructs; onewhosebusinessoroccupationistoinstruct others; aninstructor;atutor.
      Just describe the ordinary teacher who could be any of us, or any people in the society.
      However, an ideal teacher is different from the above definition.
    • KNOWLEDGE
      Informative
      Master the knowledge within their field
      However, they cannot ignore other important knowledge
      E.g: General knowledge (changing)
    • Subject matter knowledge.
      -thorough knowledge of the subject to convey.
      - familiarity with a broad range of books and other materials available
    • thorough knowledge of the learning process
      - familiarity with different learning styles
      - mastery of a variety of instructional strategies
      -an awareness of which strategies will be most effective
    • SKILLS
      • Has pedagogical skills
      • Know the development phase of the children and able to use appropriate teaching approaches and teaching aids that suit the students.
      • Can explain well to the students (effective teaching and learning)
      • Update themselves with latest ICT skills
      • Multi skills person
      • Can handle society programmes (soccer)
      • Administrative work
    •  effective communication skills
      - ability to communicate at a level and in a way that students can understand. 
      - The voice and diction of facilitators should be clear, moderately pitched and well- modulated
